As he finished making her order, he put it on a tray and made his way towards her with a smile. He saw that she was focused on taking notes and doing her homework.

He strolled towards her table, she looked up at him. Their eyes meeting. He greeted her with a soft and sweet smile that anyone would be obsessed with. Yeorin bit her lower lip, gulping. Her cheeks flushing slightly. He placed her food on her table.

He took a seat a beside her on the cushion which suprised her. She just tried to ignore him, grabbing her espresso and drinking it. He took notice of how flustered she was and laughed heartily. He took out one of her earphones and whispered,

"Why are you ignoring me?"

Her body language was tense, her eyes wide as she gulped hard. Stopping everything that she's doing and finally making eye contact with him.

"..what?"

"Come on, yeorin. We go to the same school now. Why are you so awkward?"

"Am not! I'm just.. focused. That's it. Yeah."

"You must be the top student, huh? Studying so hard."

"No. I don't even go in 10th. I'm just studying hard for exams."

"Exams?"

"Yeah!.. I just like to prepare beforehand."

She's a hard worker and an over achiever, huh? She looked over at him with a pout, nodding. Too shy to continue the conversation. Seungmin just laughed, teasing her.

"d-don't you have a job to do?.."

"Alright alright."

Yeorin scoffed, yet beneath her nonchalant facade, a tempest of panic swirled within her; her heart raced and her vision blurred. Shaking off these unsettling thoughts, she donned her earphones once more and resumed her note-taking. Meanwhile, Seungmin rose, carrying his empty tray, bemused by the stark transformation in her demeanor compared before the earlier incident at school.

Oh right. Fuck. She forgot to apologize properly, instead she just pushed him away again. She groaned internally, slamming her head on the table out of frustration. Her body slumping as she pouted.

"How could I forget?..."

She sat up straight, diligently immersing herself in her homework and reflecting on her lessons, determined not to succumb to distractions or discontent. An idea formed in her mind—perhaps a simple apology upon her return home would suffice—but the courage to express her remorse eluded her.

She nervously fidgeted with her pen, her mind racing for a simple yet profound idea. Suddenly, an inspiration struck: she would craft her apology on paper. Though it might make her seem like a sore loser, it felt far more dignified than silence.

She tore a sheet from the center of her notebook, swiftly inscribing an elaborate apology upon it. The lengthy missive, perhaps overly so, conveyed her feelings with a fervor that bordered on excessive. Yet, as she concluded her writing in under a minute, a sense of satisfaction enveloped her, as if the words had finally captured her remorse.
