INFATUATION
[the riddler]

My god, she was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

I have never seen another women like her, especially not in this place. This wasn't the first time I've seen her either.

☁️

While we were at lunch earlier, discussing our upcoming plan, Harley had brought up how there was a new nurse. She kept going on and on about how she was happy the old one was replaced.

For once, I agreed with her. The previous nurse was awful, she treated us like animals. Also, she didn't even seem as if she was qualified; What a terrible worker.

"Look," Harley whispered, or at least tried to.

She was so loud that her whispering voice, was how an average person's speaking voice would be.

"There she is." Her finger pointed over to where the entrance doors were.

At first, I couldn't see who she was talking about. I only saw Doctor Roberts. But then I saw her, and God, I fell in love at that moment.

She had on a white button down with a black skirt that hugged her so well. Her jet black hair was down, and she was animatedly talking to the Doctor.

I guess I might have been staring too long, because she turned over in my direction.

When her emerald green eyes met mine, it caught me off guard. So I glared in her direction, in an attempt to intimidate her. It worked.

She quickly turned back around to Doctor Roberts and I let out a sigh of relief. I was just glad that no one at the table saw what had happened.

I couldn't wait to meet her. But my thoughts about her were quickly interrupted by Scarecrow.

"What do you think she fears?"

I was just about to tell him not to, when Harley beat me to it. "Don't even think about it, Johnny." She made a face of disgust, "She's new here!"

Jonathan shrugged and continued eating what ever was on his plate, it looked so disgusting.

"I, personally, think it'll be nice to have a new doctor to mess with." The Joker interjected.

When he said that, Harley softly elbowed his side.

☁️

After seeing her in the cafeteria, I became infatuated with her. Her picture just couldn't escape my mind.

Then, after our encounter last night in the hall, I just had to see her. I needed to see her up close.

The thing was, I just didn't know how. It wasn't like she was a psychiatrist, so I couldn't just make her my doctor.

But she was a nurse. A nurse for everyone, including me.

I smiled at the though of that, as a brilliant and maybe idiotic idea came to mind.

I would simply just get into a fight, today at breakfast. Now, I wasn't a fighting man, but that we the point.

The fact that I know I'll lose means I'm sure to get an injury. An injury that Ariella would have to fix.

The idea excited me, and at the time of breakfast, I quickly jumped out of my bed and headed towards the cafeteria.

It was exciting, thinking of who I could make mad enough to want to fight me. Who would actually be willing to hit me?

That's when I spotted him, as soon as I stepped through the doors I knew he would.

Heading over to Harley and The Joker, my mind was searching for things that could anger the clown.

What could possibly anger him?

☁️

The Batman. That's what makes him angry. I can't believe I hadn't though of that, something so simple.

Nevertheless, I was content with the results. He gave me a black eye and a bloody enough, enough injuries to send me to the infirmary.

Maybe I should just kidnap her when we escaped. I'm sure she'll grow accustomed to me if I do. She'd have no other choice than to do so.

Finally, I was at the infirmary. A smile started making its way to my face, but I quickly tried to hide it as I knocked on the door.

"Come in." Her sweet voice welcomed me in.

I walked in and shut the door behind me loudly, but she didn't look up.

Thankfully, she only had one other patient who was passed out at the moment.

She was bent over, applying a small ice pack to his forehead. From where I was standing, I was able to catch a quick glimpse at her chest with the shirt she was wearing.

"You know," I started as I sat down on the second bed. "With the way you dress, you really know how to catch a man's attention."

At the sound of my voice, she finally looked up. She made a disgusted face at what I said and walked over to where I assume her supplies where.

"Sorry?" She said with a hint of sarcasm in her voice, "I didn't really choose what to wear with you in mind."

She looked over her shoulder, to examine what injuries I had.

"A black eye and a bloody nose." I told her.

After she grabbed what she needed, she walked over to me with supplies in hand.

I could feel my heart beating rapidly, something that barely happened in a situation like this, as I watched her walk over to me.

Whatever attitude she had, faded when she saw the blood trickling down my face.

"Here," she helped me up and led me to a sink, "Look down and let the blood flow out into the sink."

I did as she said while she grabbed some tissue and wet it with water.

"Is the blood gone?" I nodded and pulled back from the sink.

She started cleaning up my face with the tissue and I couldn't help but stare at her the whole time. She looked so much better up close.

"So, how did you know my name?" Ariella asked as she threw away the dirty tissue.

"It took a lot of asking around." I admitted as confidently as I could.

She chuckled and brought an ice pack over to me. "Why'd you ask around?" Placing the ice pack on my eye, her other hand moved towards my nose. Her fingers played around with it, "It's not broken."

"I wanted to know who you were."

I could feel her get uncomfortable at my answer. But she quickly dismissed what I said and asked, "So how did this happen?"

Her hand left my nose and now she was just focused on my eye.

"I made The Joker angry so he could injure me."

"On purpose?" She took the ice pack off my eye, "Lay down." I did as she said and she placed the ice pack back on my eye.

"I made him angry so that I could meet you."

Her cheeks turned a tint of pink, but before she could say something, there was a knock at the door.
