Author's Notes:Hello again after disappearing. I'd like to thank everyone who continues to follow this fanfic even though it has few updates and greet the new readers who have appeared here.
So, translating the chapters, especially the lines, is not a very easy job, because even though I am considered fluent English is not part of my daily life and I'm sorry for taking so long to update this shit 💀
ATTENTION: I noticed from the Wattpad statistics that there are some Brazilian readers reading this fanfic and I wanted to let them know that THERE IS A PORTUGUESE VERSION. That was it, thanks.
Huntington Beach, Califórnia - Spring of 1993
P.O.V Madison
The day of the show had finally arrived and I was excited to see the band play. Fieldy had invited me to a rehearsal, but after he said he wanted it to be a surprise and I would only hear their music on the day of the show, I wondered if it was so good for such suspense.
The show was going to take place in another city called Huntington Beach, luckily Shannon, David's girlfriend, gave me and Munky's girlfriend a ride. I hadn't seen them for about three weeks, the season had already changed and the spring heat started to show itself, so I decided to wear cooler clothes. (A/N: yes, I'm going to describe the outfit and no one can stop me, welcome back 2013)
I opted for black denim shorts, the piece was a little shorter than I would like, so I put on fishnet tights underneath, on top I wore a loose black blouse with a Kyuss band print, and I put on a pair of worn brown combat boots that I used to wear in rescue work. That day I decided to wear heavier makeup, with thick black eyeliner, and very dark red lipstick. It seemed acceptable, I could leave the house without feeling horrible. When we arrived the place wasn't crowded and another band was playing on stage. I had brought a load of longnecks, six beers, which were already a little warm, but I was going to drink them anyway. Over time, the place filled up more and more, becoming more and more noisy. Those screams and lights left me a little disoriented, overloading my senses a little, but I was already used to that, unfortunately.
When a guy finally announced on the microphone that the next band would be Korn, the lights went out and several people screamed. I was a little lost, so I decided to get closer to the stage. I heard a guitar and drums start playing with the lights still off, until Jonathan shouted into the microphone ARE YOU READY? and the stage lights came on again.
I can't say what shocked me more: the fact that they were actually very good or how Jonathan was dressed. An aggressive sound echoed on the stage, Fieldy made the presence of the bass an almost divine experience, second only to Jonathan who was dressed in a female outfit, but not just any female outfit, he was strangely sexy. Underneath the short black shorts was a garter belt that held up a pair of ⅞ long black socks, and to top it off a striped blouse that left part of his belly exposed. In addition to being dressed that way, he was also wearing makeup, which, like the outfit, strangely suited him, or maybe I just have terrible taste.
The first song ended and they immediately started the second, and the third and so on. They seemed tireless, especially Jon, who was jumping and shouting nonstop. I didn't even know how he could handle singing like that, just as I didn't know how the other guys managed to play so well while doing all kinds of movements on that tiny stage.
My death, or almost so, was declared when Jonathan took off his shirt, throwing the clothing piece to the other side of the stage. If before I found him attractive, now I knew for sure. At that moment, it became clear to me how I wanted him and that maybe I should accept Shannon's help after all...
