**Damian’s P.O.V.**

Since I had some free time in the afternoon, I decided to chat with Alicia, the lady I spoke with earlier on the phone.

I've come to learn a lot about her, almost as if we’ve known each other for years. She seems generous, shy, friendly, intelligent, and well-educated.

Moreover, she isn’t materialistic. Alicia is a devoted Christian.

She often brings up topics about the word of God in our conversations.

As for me, I’m not very religious.

Maybe I am, maybe I’m not, because I can’t remember the last time I went to church or took communion.

I think I was five or seven the last time I did that.

That’s decades ago.

Talking with her for hours was fascinating. It was almost evening when we had our last audio call of the day.

Above all, this girl, who doesn’t feel like a stranger, is quite funny.

I don’t usually enjoy chatting with women, but she captivated me with her words.

She reminded me of stories from the Old and New Testaments, which I haven’t read in ages.

She gave me some spiritual verses to read and pray on. She is amazing, and I’m starting to like her.

After dinner, I had a video chat with my parents. Mom never stops complaining about how muscular I’m getting. She disapproves of my gym visits and recommends foods she thinks will make me thinner.

I don't want to hear that.

I wanted to tell Dad about my encounter with Alicia after Mom left, but Dad is very faithful to her and would likely share everything with her, making her curious.

I couldn’t wait for Dad to hang up so I could read my chats with Alicia. Her messages felt like a novel. She even sent an audio note of her singing "Lead Me to the Cross" by Brooke Fraser.

Her voice was heavenly and captivated my heart. I played it nonstop until my battery almost died.

I’ve never enjoyed a devotional song like this before. In fact, I don’t usually listen to such songs, but now I’m hooked.

I had to Shazam the song, download the original version, and make it my ringtone.

I’m eager to meet this woman. I want to know her more, like I want to know Jesus.
