The 'Business' Vows

Chapter 9: small mistake. big consequence.

The headline for the business section of national news was definitely was about Raval Industries officially taking over Kulkarni Enterprises, just few months prior to the largest business event night of the country, the annual summit.

Darshan was working on his laptop when Shweta came in the cabin door.

"Sir.. The media people are waiting for you." She said.

"Okay tell them to wait. I am coming. "

To this Shweta nodded and left.

Darshan concentrated back on his laptop screen and once done with the work, he walked out of his cabin where there was a buzz of media persons, some standing with their cameras while some preparing their microphones, while the others already giving an introduction for the live telecast of their respective channels.

Once Darshan walked in, everyone's attention got fixed on him.

Everyone was checking him out top to bottom.

"Sir was this a business move?"
"Sir what was your thought behind this?"
"Sir would we be able to now see Raval Industries on top of the business game?"
Were some of the thousands of questions bombarded towards Darshan.

Darshan raised his hand and motioned it to convey to them to stop.

"I will answer everything. But first turn your cameras off."

Everyone did as he comanded.

"Shweta bring them to the conference room." Darshan told Shweta who was standing there.

Darshan went straight towards the conference room, switched on the lights and other electronic equipments necessary and got seated.

In no time Shweta came in with all of the interviewers.

Most of them got seated on the sofa and the ones who didn't get a seat, remained standing.

"Sir can we start?" One of them asked.

"Yes." Darshan said, to which all the cameramen got their cameras ready. A series of microphones were kept in a line on the table in front of Darshan's seat.

"Sir what say about this sudden move you have taken?"

"Well, life is better when it is served with regular surprises. Consider this to be one of that kind too!" Darshan exclaimed, chuckling.

"As per the reports, Raval Industries and Kulkarni Enterprises had never partnered themselves in the past yet just a month back they collaborated. Now Kulkarni Enterprises is curated by Raval industries headed by Darshan Raval.. How could this happen all of a sudden?"

The question was fired at Darshan in a second.

"Dhire.. Dhire.. Patience.." Darshan said, sighed and then started again,

"Dekhiye, aap logon ko lag sakta hai it had become all of a sudden but iske peeche jitni mehnat deni padhti hai wo sirf hum logon ko pata hota hain.. Aur haan, kulkarni enterprises and Raval Industries might not have collaborated before toh kya? Never heard of first times?" Darshan smirked.

"Sir jaanch se pata chala hai ki ye business move completely Mr Kulkarni ki against hai, aur unhone bola hai he will look out till the end of it. In his recent Media conference, he almost called you a criminal. What say on this?" One reporter asked and forwarded the microphone to Darshan.

This question agitated Darshan way too much.

"Listen.. Kon mujhe criminal bula raha hai usse mujhe bilkul bhi farq nahi padhta. Aur unke company kaise Raval Industries ke grip mein aayi hai uski proof mere paas hai. Aur haan.. He will look out till the end of it? Hum bhi kaha ruke hai? Let him do his job. Let me do mine." Darshan said and got up from his seat, he couldn't handle any more questions of this sort as they were clinging onto his nerve.
