summary: after having a little before sunrise snack or what humans nowadays would call breakfast, you heard a faint sound of crying and the smell of salty tears...

a/n: again. could be read as platonic/romantic for our lil loveable latino vamp wannabe

✰ ✰ ✰

watching the now cold body of a man lying on the carpet before you making you scoff. blood coated fingers reached your breastpocket to take a handkerchief and carefully dabbed the blood at your mouth acting as if you didn't just brutally murdered a man leaving his maroon spill splattered all over the vintage wallpaper.

guillermo would take care of that, you think. he always do! no matter how you or the other vampires tore the house down to shreds leaving it like a shipwreck, in a blink of an eye or usually a day it would be spotless. you gotta say guillermo is kind of a good familliar.

youre surprised he lasted this long though. you've have had many familliars before, by different age range and different origins but no one has made it this far. And by far no one has been as efficient and loyal as he was.

it was kind of a shame that he is not your familliar and therefore you are not his master, which made you feel jealous of nandor some times. unsurprisingly though, lately guillermo has been serving all of you, even bald man colin robinson.

giving the body one last glance you stuffed the handkerchief at your pocket and move to find the familliar.

as you left the room you could hear a faint sound of sniffling and followed to where the sound lies, by perfect timing it came from under the stairs, a room own by the man you were looking for.

"ooohh, guillermo!" you cheered, he paused his sniffling as a hand flew to his chest and a crumbled ball of wet tissue fell to his lap. guillermo hurrily inhaled some snot and stuttered out your name

"wh-what are you doing here?! it's already morning!" he glanced to the ticking clock on the wall as his hands swipped the tears off his face

"i know! but i was hungry i couldn't help it!" you reasoned while making your way to his bed, sitting beside him, your shoulders touched because of how small the bed is.

you looked around his bedroom, taking every detail at every corner, you realized you've never been to his room and you've gotta admit how comfortable it is in here.

guillermo's eyes was on you the entire time, curious by how starstruck you are with his room. his sniffles has calmed down as his tears are no longer falling, he unconciously felt calmed by your presence.

"i just realized i've never been here before," you said staring at the ceilings of his small room, body getting lowered and lowered as you made yourself comfortable in his bed.

"it's quite nice, actually. now i know why you always hang around in here" you continued

that catch guillermo off guard because his next words were, "really? you don't think its too small? or i dont know- cramped?"

"nope" you said, popping the 'p' at the end. your dangling feet kicked the air as you laid sideways, your eyes finally left the ceiling and stuck to his maintaining eye contact.

with a pat on the side guillermo huffed and laid beside you, this is new.. you've never been this close to him before. maybe vampires do still have some feeling left in their rotten heart or maybe it was fake pity. he didnt know but whatever youre doing is working.

now both staring at the ceiling, you two laid in silence. after seconds you finally broke the ice and asked

"what happened?" you were left with nothing but silence as guillermo felt uncertain to tell you the truth or not. in one hand he really needs someone to talk to but in the other hand you're his master and in some way is the reason of his low spirits.

"I-" "it's okay if you don't want to tell me" you cut him off before he cuts you again "no- no- i feel like- i feel like i need to" "alright" your eyes reaching to him to go on

"well- i- i'm tired, i guess" guillermo said facing away from you "did you not get enough sleep?" you asked turning your whole body to him

"no- well yes- but not entirely because of that.." guillermo trailed of his vision still glued to the wall

"what is it then? what makes you feel so tired?" you asked, when you did he finally looked at you and sighed, fingers pinching the bridge of his nose.

"if i tell you promise to not get mad? or even tell the others?" guillermo winced, eyes closed scared of how you would react

"mhmm, promise" you promised, a pinky raised waiting for his to weave on yours

when he saw this he couldnt stop the smile on his face and entwined his pinky to yours, taking a deep breath he looked at you and spilled the beans out

"well, truth be told, im tired of this, of all of this. about being a familliar, about living in this place," he gestured at his room "and- and about how im treated here" he whispered the last part as he closed his eyes again.

"being a vampire is what ive always wanted, the day i found out that vampires do exist i packed my bags and left everything behind without even looking back it. lately ive wondered how my life could be, where i couldve be, if i didnt stayed here" guillermo could feel tears bundling at his eyelids as one threatened to fall down, he didnt dare to look at you as you were dead quiet but thr feeling of your lingering stare continue to remind him that you're here, beside him.

your hand raised to his as you squeezed it softly but firm.

"im- i- i don't know where to start" you said, unconfident yourself because its been a long time since you felt the need to comfort someone or even comfort someone. but for guillermo here, you'll give your rusty mouth a shot.

"but a forgive me and a thank you very much would do the trick" you said as you sit up and look at him, catching his gaze. you hands still in his as you continued

"being a vampire is hard, but now i understand that being a familliar is harder. i'm sorry that things hasnt been easy for you guillermo. i guess being a vampire makes us forget how its like to be a human, and how to treat you like one ill admit im embarrased by that" your eyes full of regret and sadness as you say your next words

"i understand if you want to leave, i really do. but as much as we dont admit it here we all care of you, very much. youre a part of the team" you smiled sadly at him and with that he smiled back at you, a happier smile.

"plus i dont know about you, but i think this place is comfortable as hell. though, if you want a bigger space i can help you settle. we gotta throw some stuff out, hopefully the others wont notice"

guillermo chuckled and shrugged "hmm maybe- maybe youre right, this place is kind of cozy-"

a big yawned escaped your lips as you move back to lay beside him "too comfortable probably, look at what its doing to me" your eyes started becoming heavy as they closed down

guillermo gasped as he looked at the time the sun is already out,you really gotta get some rest.

"you dont mind if i stay here for a bit, right?" you asked as you snuggled close to him

"of course-"

"oh and guillermo, i promise to do better for you and force the others to do too. it'll take some time but they'll come around, just give us a chance" soft snores escaped your mouth as you laid next to him, hands draped over his stomach trying to steal his body heat.

you were already out before guillermo had the chance to answer you, but he'll let you know when you wake up. he'll give you all a chance, he's not kidding for the fact that he cares about all of you too, deeply for that.

it'll be hard for him to leave and now that he knows it'll also be hard for all of you to see him leave, so what the point?

he'll stay.
