How To Become A Monster Once Upon A Dream

Chapter 2

We were hiding from the Xiangliu from a distance for a chance to run. I sneak to see a black bronze tachi blade on the ground few meters from the serpent's tail.

"What are you doing?"whisper Xiao. I went to get the blade.

"Get back here! We can get away while the monster is sleeping, Yuzi!" whisper Ruki.

The Xiangliu start to growl then the head move straight to my face as I drag the sword from the tail. After getting the tachi, I was able to get the other weapons that the serpent dropped.

"You are crazy, totally crazy?!"whisper Yuku
"What are we going to with these?"said Xiao as he holds the sword. "We don't know how to sword fight."

"We can use the sword in time for need,"says Yuku out of my mind."Okay,"Xiao said.

"All right,"says Ruki. "Let get out of here, now. A Serpent have high sense of smell and hearing." As she say one of the heads moves. We froze as the serpent went back to sleep.

We move far away from the Xiangliu as quiet as possible. Yuku dropped something and it hits on a rock to cause noise, the serpent starts to wake up and eats the remaining bodies.

"RUN, NOW!!"

We ran and ran ,hidden in a bush and catch our breath. "I think we lost it," I said.

"Now we have to get to the city of Xin by noon,"says  Ruki. "Right? Yuzi."

Sudden a roar came from a distance behind us and everyone knew. The Xiangliu appeared and starts  chase after us and a rock hit the serpent in the eye. The serpent hissing and a another rock hit the body.

We were studded to see who shot the arrow"This way, you fools!" Hun yelled he waved at us.We ran away and followed Hun as the serpent follow behind until we saw a flag.

"We're almost there," I said as we see touches of fire from the distance and a bridge to cross on to the city of Xin. "Watch Out!!"

A tree flew and hits on Yuku. "Yuku!!" We tried to move the branch off Yuku's leg but failed. A roar echoed from the distance as the serpent was on the way to us.

"Just go, you guys can save yourselves,"says Yuku. "No!!"yelled Ruki. "I'm not leaving you! Brother!" The serpent was getting closer.

"Someone shall go get help, NOW!!" said Ruki.
"Even if you get help,we will be dead,"says Xiao. "Someone has to skilled at killing the monster. And..."he says. "We are done."

Then someone ran the other way to get the serpent's attention.

"YUZI!!" everyone yelled as I went to get the monster attention.

"You over grown phyton,Over here!!"I yelled as I threw a rock at the serpent. The Xiangliu hisses and starts to chase me.

"We have to help Yuzi,"Ruki says.

"Wait," Hun says. "Why is the rescue has to be us," he said. "Xiao, can you look out for Yuzi," Xiao nodded and went. Hun and Ruki start to move branches off Yuku's leg.

I ran and ran until I got lost where start from scratch and ran another way and arrived at a cliff trapped.

The gold-brown eyes looked at me ready for the kill. I rise the sword as the serpent hisses and starts attack. I dodged the serpent's fangs as its turn around, I strikes the lower body and stabbed in the body. The serpent strikes again and hits me on the ground away from the sword and feel pain, I looked where the pain is ,my lower back is paining and also the poison entered my body.

The poison has strong digest juice that can degenerate a demon away and also become a explosive ammo for mages who use Qin. My body aches and I started to feel dizzy when the serpent came close. My body won't move, before the serpent attacks,a sword hits it on the eye. Xiao stabs deep in the eye.

The Xiangliu hisses in pain and turns away from us. "Come on!! Let Go!"yelled Xiao. We get up and run away from the Xiangliu as possible as we can. We arrive at the bridge and help Yuku to get to his feet, a shadow forms behind us. We went to hide behind the log .

The Xiangliu hisses as it comes to us. It removed the sword from the eye and drop it under the claw. We were trapped and going to dead. Until someone did something stupid. "Over here, lizard!" Xiao shouted.

"XIAO!!" we yelled as he got the serpent's attention and chase after him. My body  slowly started move so I starts to get to my feet.I ran out and grab the sword and went after Xiao.

Xiao ran fast from the Xiangliu and got a stone to hit it. The serpent hit Xiao with it's claw and landed on the ground. I arrive there to see the Xiangliu hisses at Xiao and he looked at me and smiles then close his eyes. The Xiangliu strikes at Xiao with speed and slide him into half and finally finished him whole.

"NOO!!" I yelled out and grab the sword and ran to the Xiangliu. It strikes straight at me.

I dodged the strike, and stabs the serpent from the neck going down. The serpent turned and attacked again but missed. I moved faster and hear cleaner. I jump high on the neck as the serpent faces at me. I hit the head with the sword deep and sending me flying. I landed on a rock and fainted.

The Xiangliu hisses in pain so much as its circles around. A horn sound was heard, arrows are hitting the Xiangliu. A group of horsemen came and started attacking the serpent. Hun comes out of the bushes and drags me away. He carries me and he manages to get us to the bridge. He meets with Ruki and Yuku and celebrates.

"You guys make it,"said Yuku. He looks at me and shakes me. He noticed that I was breathing.

"The poison entered in his body," Ruki says. "He needs a healer."

"Don't worry,we have arrived. We will get help,"says Hun. Ruki blushes.

The celebration was ended when the horsemen surrounded me,Hun and the others. One of them came off the horse. He wears a full armor and his face is a medium age of 50 and black hair and beard. His name is Zhan Eun Jung.

"We need your help, our friend is poisoned, please,"Ruki says.

I looked for a bit before my eyes closed. Zhan came to check on me.

"Let help these children, "said Zhan. The other men stood up and carried me and my friends. They took us to the city of Xin.

Little did they know that someone is watching us.

"Finally........."said a scary voice as it tastes in the air. " The time has come for............."
