...★Miles Morales
Childhood Best Friends to LoversAlmost all of your earliest memories consist of Miles. All the games of Marco Polo you two played every fourth of July when your families got together, the sand castle competitions at the playground, the races you would win against him, completely oblivious to the fact that he had let you win this time, that one time he got in trouble because he beat up a kid in elementary school because he made you cry, and the constant teasing from your primary school friends by singing the "Siting in a Tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G" song.
Now, nine years later, when you're sixteen and Miles is fifteen and a half—you always liked to point out that you're older than Miles when you two were younger, but now he's always pointing out the height difference between you two—,you began to wonder when your feelings for Miles changed.
You can't seem to get enough for him. You laugh extra hard at his jokes, even if they aren't funny, your heart quickens at the mention of his name and you always smile when you see something that reminds you of him. As time passed, you began to wonder if Miles felt the same.
All the study hang-outs because he claimed that he's "failing his classes," just to discover from Rio that he actually has better grades than you, when you looked at his sketchbook, only to find pages after pages of sketches of you, or even that time when you found yourself covered in his jacket when you fell asleep on his couch from movie night.
It seemed obvious to everyone, except for you two, that both of you want to be with the other one more than anything. Your parents even have a bet with Miles's parents on who will crack first....★Gwen Stacy
Push and PullYou were one of the few people who managed to get close to Gwen. You didn't know when your feelings for Gwen started to change, but you knew that you liked her more than a friend should like their friend. After months of suppressing your feelings, afraid that it would ruin your friendship with Gwen, you have decided to finally confess.
After admitting your feelings to Gwen, it took one look at her facial expression to know where this was headed. It was a long, painful, awkward silence before Gwen spoke up.
"I'm sorry, but I can't return your feelings," Gwen said as she awkwardly looked at the ground.
To be honest, Gwen wasn't even sure if what she said was true. She knew that you were someone that she cared about very deeply, and there was a lot that she was willing to do for you, but you were already too close to her, and she's afraid that it might put you in possible danger. Regardless of whether she's doing all of this because you are her best friend or if she does love you in a romantic way, she's doing it for you. Gwen was convinced this was for the best.
It wasn't even a day later when she started to regret her decision. She missed you. She missed hearing your voice, your smile, your laugh, and your presence. God, she missed everything about you. And it doesn't help the fact that she would find herself following you around like a stalker just to see you. She knows that she has no right to be like this, but she wonders if you miss her too.
Gwen was suffering from your absence, and although she was still unsure where her feelings for you stood, she knew one thing for certain:: she needs you.
When you got back home that night, you were shocked to see Gwen standing in front of your door. You considered turning around, but it was too late. Gwen walked up towards you with a guiltful look on her face and hands in her hoodie pocket.
"Hey..." Gwen said awkwardly. "Look, can we talk?"
