Sixteen

Lily's hand was shaking as the submarine lifted out of the water and into the air. Her head was throbbing at this point but she ignored it, lifting the submarine higher until Hank could see the spinning propellor blades. The plane started moving harshly as Cyclone created a small, well, cyclone. "Lily, let go! Erik, take my hand! Erik!" Charles screamed.

Lily sent the submarine towards the shoreline and it rolled a few times before stopping. She exited Erik's mind and stumbled slightly as the plane shifted and jerked around harshly. Charles pulled Erik back inside the plane as it spiralled out of control, heading straight for the beach. "Oh shit!" Lily screamed as the plane connected with the sand, flipping upside down and rolling.

She was sent tumbling and bouncing around the plane, hitting off of every wall in the vicinity and she cried out as she landed on floor/roof. She wasn't entirely sure which one was which but all she knew was that she was pinned to the floor by a very heavy object.

"Oh god. Lily!" Raven yelled as they got unbuckled. On top of a rather bruised and cut up Lily was the massive cabinet that had been previously bolted to the floor. "Erik! Erik!" she called as she dropped down next to the girl. "Can't...breathe" she choked out as Raven tried her best to lift it off of her.

Erik lowered himself and Charles to the ground and they both rushed over, helping the girl. Erik lifted up the cabinet and she groaned before crying out, inhaling deeply and coughing as the weight was lifted off of her. "Are you alright?" he asked as Charles quickly checked on everyone else.

Lily turned her head to side and saw Cyclone entering the plane, a murderous look in his eyes. She quickly pushed Charles to the side and sat up, her hand raising as she threw him back out the hole he came through. "Stay the fuck out of our plane, asshole!" she yelled before getting to her feet.

"I read the teleporter's mind. Shaw is drawing out all the power from his sub. He's going to turn himself into some kind of nuclear bomb" Charles revealed, steadying the white-haired girl. "I'm going in" Erik said. "Beast, Havok, back him up. Erik, I can guide you through the sub, but you need to shut down whatever's blocking me. I just hope to God it's not too late to stop him" Charles ordered.

"Charles, what do I do?" Lily asked. "You, take a breather. You practically got shoved into a blender" Charles ordered and Lily looked offended. "I can help" she protested and he faltered. "Lily, please. Take a second" he practically begged. Lily waited exactly one second before turning and walking away. "Lily!" he called. "You said take a second!" she called over her shoulder, running out of the plane.

She saw Azazel taking Alex and zapping away somewhere as Hank was unconscious on the ground and she cursed, checking he was still alive when she was flung to the side by a gust of wind. She was quickly on her feet but was soon pinned to the side of the submarine by a strong gust of wind.

She calmed herself before entering Cyclone's mind, stopping the wind but she didn't react in time to stop the punch that was heading straight for her stomach. She gasped and coughed, collapsing to the ground as she tried to regain the ability to breathe but that was taken again when he kicked her in the ribs twice.

She held her hand up to try and stop him but he grabbed her arm and yanked her sideways. She screamed in pain and clutched her arm to her chest as he kicked her in the side again. "I don't want to hurt you" she breathed and he scoffed, kicking her again.

He straddled the girl and repeatedly punched her in the face before wrapping his hands around her throat. "Please" she choked out and when he went to punch her again, she held her hand up, sending him flying backwards about twenty feet.

She forced herself to her feet and stumbled from the blinding pain in her side. She entered his mind and controlled the wind, pulling a piece of metal off the submarine and chucking it on top of himself, knocking him out as he laid there, pinned underneath it.
