Y/Ns POV

It's soft, gentle, like angels kissing all over me.

As the water drops fall onto me, the wetter I become, the happier I am.
Mike, Abby, and me all jump around like monkeys, I haven't felt this happy in a long time. The rain is quiet like my life right now, peaceful. Just the way I wished it was before, or forever, actually.
But it can't, Mike and Abby play around, and then Abby and I both jump around, splashing our pants in the water puddles, laughing and giggling. I feel free like a dove flying through the air. A smile, a genuine smile spreads across my face, ear to ear, I love this feeling. I wish I could freeze time and stop it here, never get old, never have to deal with the past, no mom, what's that? No, dad, what's that?
What holes in the walls?
What dishes breaking?
What self-harm?
What?
What?
What?
What's the past about? Nothing, it's my imagination. Just a dream. Never happened, I'm living with Mike, no more being alone in the apartment I used to live in, I sleep with Mike, take care of Abby. Like a family, a family I never had at Abbys age, she's lucky to have this childhood, perfect, in tip top shape.

When we get in side, we are all soaked, but it's fine, we take showers one at a time, first Mike, then Abby, then me. After we watch some TV. Mike and I are cuddled up, while Abby is on the floor drawing as always. Her art has been looking better after I've helped her for a few weeks. She's an amazing artist at her age.
