"You're here! You're really here!" I jumped and hugged Jake, squealing while doing so. "I am, I am." He said hugging me back, tightly. "I've missed your lovely face so much!" I tell him while squeezing his cheeks. He pushes my hands away, telling me how much he missed me.

I walk out on the balcony of his dorm room to give him and his mom some space while they exchange their goodbyes. They're is so much I want to do with him today; shop, eat, site see, introduce him to some of my friends. Ah! I'm just so happy he's here. I finally feel like my life isn't so bizarre anymore.

"So mom just left," Jake says, leaning next to me on the balcony. "Great! I have a whole day planned for us!" I say clapping. "I've cleared my schedule, which is so hard for me to do. Sarah was very close to telling me 'no' but I managed!" I beam happily at him and clap my hands again. "You're a stick full of energy today, aren't you?" Jake jokes, following me towards the door.

"I am. I got my best friend back."

"How are you liking it so far?" I ask, as we sit outside at a tiny restaurant. "The food or.."

"Jake! You know I mean LA! It's been your dream since we were 7 to move out here and now we're finally doing that." I remember us sitting in grade school together, promising each other that we'd live in LA when we grew up. "Honestly I love it, it's everything I expected it to be. I-"

"Meg!" Jake gets cut off by my very close friend, Celia Gomes. I invited her and Conner to come to lunch and meet Jake. Maybe after Jake meets Conner he won't think of him so low anymore.

"Hey guys!" I say waving back. Once they got to our table I introduced them to Jake. "Guys! This is Jake! Jake this is Celia Gomes and Conner Davis!" I can't help but let another squeal out. Conner and Jake shake hands, having already known each other from our dinner months ago. "You look familiar," Jake comments, once he gets a good look at Celia.

He admiringly glances at her, head to toe, and she blushes. "She's on a very popular show! Maybe you've seen her there!" I say. "Oh that might be true," he says, not looking away from her.

What's this? My inner self sneers. Oh calm down, he's allowed to like someone. I tell myself. This is great, I'm having a conversation with myself.

"How's that eye doing?" Conner says, slinging an arm around me. "It's better. I had to take an aspirin when I got up. My head was killing me." I answer him, turning away from Celia and Jake, who are still talking. "Let me see," Conner says and peeks under my huge sunglasses.

"How do I look?" I ask. Maybe it's gone down. "Still beautiful." He smiles and winks.

"Once your two are finished flirting," Celia says, wagging her eyebrows. "I want my hug!"

"Oh my gosh! Where are my manners?!" I say getting up and hugging Celia. As I stretch across the table I feel something hit my butt and jump a little. "Woah there," Conner laughs.

"Don't fall." Once I sit back down, I glare at Conner and he laughs to himself. Celia and Jake are oblivious as to what just took place. Thank god Jake didn't see, he would've tore off Conner's hand. "So Jake, when is your first game?" I ask, trying to start a conversation for all of us. "It's in 3 weeks, are you coming?"

"I would love to come!" I say, clapping once again. "I would like it if you came, too." He smiles and I smile back, locked in his gaze. "Oh my god! You play a sport?! I would love to come, too! Maybe Conner and I could join Megan." Celia chimes in. "Yeah, I think it would be fun." Conner says, resting his arm around my back again. I finally look away from Jake and clear my throat. "Yeah, that sounds cool, too." I say, still smiling but I didn't feel the need to clap this time.
