Jake returned 5 minutes later with a string of people following him all into my room. My mom, dad, Celia, Ashely, Nate, and Sarah all filed in. To say I was overwhelmed was an understatement. Was I really that sick that Sarah showed?
"Sweetie," my mom called before rushing over and kissing me on my forehead. While my mother was wiping the tears that were free falling down my face, my dad came over and kissed my forehead, as well, "how is my little angel feeling?" Usually I'd shrug them off of me, but it was nice seeing them and I loved the feeling of home that they presented. "I miss you guys." I said, ignoring my dads question. I felt the tears run down my cheeks, "I've missed you so much." I said hugging my mom, hardly. My chest was screaming in pain but I didn't really care. My dad kissed my hand before telling me that I scared them all with my "antics". That was his way of saying he missed me too and him showing his affection. Weird, but that's my dad. "I think I can schedule some time for you to visit home soon." Sarah smiled, the first smile I've ever seen from her. A genuine one at that. "I mean, with your accident, I don't think you can really do anything anyway. It'll be a good relaxing vacation." You can see that she was struggling to be comfortable and I understood why. She was much like my dad- sensitivity and affection weren't her thing.
"Thank you, Sarah. I'd like that a lot actually." She shook her head, letting out a breath. "Well I'll go put it in your schedule now. I just wanted to make sure you were alive- I mean, okay. I was, um, I was worried."
"I'm feeling much better, thank you Sarah. I'll call you later. Is that fine?" I know she wanted to leave, badly. It was troublesome for her to share her feelings, especially in front of everyone. "That's fine. I'll talk to you later. Have a good rest of the day everyone." She smiled and left the room. "Boy was she awkward." Nate chuckled once she finally left. I saw Ashely hit his arm a little, laughing. "Nate! Ashely! How are you?" I smiled opening my arms for hugs. They both hugged me lightly, before Celia spoke up from standing next to Jake. "You're the one in the hospital bed and you're asking them what's wrong?" She laughed a bit and came over to engulf me in a hug. "Oh my god, I've missed you so much. So much has happened between Jason and I. He sends his prayers by the way." She whispers that whole part about Jason quietly in my ear. "Now that you're better, we can go get our nails done, go to the gym, maybe some retail shopping!" She giggles, holding my hand.
"Cel, she's not going to be doing that for a while." Jake said, scratching the back of his head. "Why not?" She asked in general confusion. "Maybe because she's recovering from a near death experience!"
"Ashely!" Jake chided.
My father cleared his throat from across the room. I looked over and my mom was sleeping the chair Jake was sitting in when I woke up. "I think it's time for your mother and I to return to the hotel. It's been a tiresome week and she needs to rest now that she knows that you're okay." She shook her awake, and her eyes shot open with alarm. "Mom it's okay. I'm still fine. Why don't you let father take you back to the hotel room so you can rest? I'll guarantee that I'll still be here when you want to see me again." I smile and she shakes her head in agreement. They both kiss me and tell me they love me before leaving me alone with my crazy group of friends.
As soon as my parents exit the room, the chaos began. "You know you are very rude to me." Celia said, throwing her nose up in disgust at Ashely. "You're plastic and I don't like you." Ashely said very bluntly doing the same thing as Ceila. "Do not hate me because I'm an A-lister in Hollywood and your biggest gig was being a princess at a three year olds birthday party!"
"Celia!" I shouted, along with Jake. "Celia?!" Celia shouts in disgust. "It's true! Did you not hear what she said to me." She continued.
"That was below the belt," Nate said shaking his head. I looked at Ashely, to everyone else she was vividly angry, but to Jake and I, she was about to cry. "I may not be an A-lister, yet. But I know, when I do become one I promise not to be as shallow and fake as you." With that Ashely walked out of the room, slamming the door in the process. "Nate go talk to her, calm her down, and get her home safely. She's upset." I say. He walks over, leaving a kiss on my forehead before leaving the room to find her.
"Celia that was not right and you know it." Jake said, his voice tired but stern. "How was that not right? I was defending myself!" She shouted at him. "You are a celebrity, Celia. I know you've must've been called worse, but you had to be rude like that?" I asked. I wasn't just going to sit by and let Celia get away with what she did. "I'm not saying she was right either, I've spoken to her about you before, but you were once a beginner in this business, too." I put a hand on her arm, trying to calm her down. "How would you have felt if someone said that to you at that stage in your life?" Jake asked, loudly. Celia shrugged my hand off her shoulder and left the room without saying goodbye or anything at all.
"Go find her," I let out a sigh. My head was beginning to hurt again. "Talk to her, calm her down, get her home safely. Then you get home safely and get some sleep tonight. At you're dorm. In your room." He laughed and hugged me kissing me on my cheek and walking towards the door. Just as he opened it, Conner was beginning to walk in.
"Oh hey, man!" Conner said, doing that weird little half hug thing guys do. "Everyone just left and I think her head is beginning to hurt again." Jake tried to whisper but he's terrible at it. Jake finally left and Conner took a seat on the bed, looking at me. "And where were you, Mr. Davis?" I joke lightly, playing with one of his hands.
"I was scared I almost lost you." His eyebrows were crunched up and he was looking down at his feet. "When I saw you laying under the car, I thought- I thought you were..."
"But I'm alive!" I say, tears in my eyes. Jeez, when did things get so heavy? Plus, I'm sick of crying. "I'm here and I'm going to make a full recovery, okay?" I pick his hand up and kiss his knuckles. "I'm going to be alright. Now if you and Jake could get that through your heads, everything would be wonderful." I smile and I can finally see the corners of his mouth curl up.
For the rest of the day, Jake and I rested together in my overly-sized hospital bed. He didn't even move when the nurses or doctors came into check on me. I guess he was just as tired as Jake. He explained that he went to drop Tiffany home this morning when I woke up, that's why he wasn't here when I woke up. "She told me Annabel keeps asking for you. Tiffany just doesn't want her to see you like this."
"Thank god, she has some brains." I laugh. "I don't want little Anna to see me like this either." Everything was quiet and peaceful, so I decided that playing with his finger tips would cure my boredom until I heard soft snores coming from him. I giggled and snatched my phone from beside me and snapped a picture of him, uploading it straight to Instagram with the caption "What a beaut! Am I lucky or what?"
After my amazing photo was posted I decided to check my other social media accounts to see what the world had been up to while I wasn't awake. A lot of people tweeted to me, saying I was in their prayers and they were so heart broken to hear the news.
I cried. More than I have in a lifetime. It was so sweet that people that don't even know me, my lovely fans, would say that and pray for me. They were there for me, too, not just my family and friends. I never even noticed how many fans and how much support I had until this happened.
I decided to take another picture, this time of me and Conner. When I posted it online, the caption read: "I'm finally up and moving around. Thank you for all the prayer sent my way!! As you can see they worked and I love you all tremendously!" As soon as I uploaded, thousands of notifications started pouring in. I couldn't read them though, I didn't feel like crying anymore today.
The rest of my day consisted of getting in the shower, by myself, something that I probably should have called the nurse for, and sleeping. You would think that waking up from a week long coma that I wouldn't want to hear the word "sleep" for a while, but that was not true in my case. If I could sleep all day long with no problem, I would totally do it.
