Chapter 6: We Are Stronger Together

THINGS GET INTENSE AND DARK NOW! THIS AIN'T GONNA BE HAPPY ANYMORE. SORRY...not.

They stood at the beachfront. The waves washed over their feet as they saw a familiar glow get closer and closer.

"You were trusted by him?" Zelda asked.

"By Tech? No. Never was I trusted by him, more...he was willing to give me a chance," Royce said, his hands behind his back.

"I see," Zelda said, her golden hair blowing in the wind. "I had heard about you. Never had I met you, but I resented you since the beginning."

"I know I have that impression on many. I cannot force them to trust me or like me, but I can do the next right thing," Royce said, as Tech's dragon form was now clearly visible. "What is the plan?"

"Send Tech back in time and hope he is able to revive the Master Sword," Zelda simply said.

"That's gotta be the suckiest plan of the century," Royce said.

"It'll have to do," Zelda said. "We are taking a page from Clone Force 99's book. We improvise."

"Then what happens after the Master Sword is revived?" Royce asked.

"Link goes and gets it," Zelda said. "We...just have to keep one thing in mind."

"And what is that?" Royce asked.

"We are stronger together."

Zelda had sent Crosshair to Hyrule to gather supplies; he claimed he could do it alone. He returned and Zelda went to meet him, but he had this look in this eyes. He suddenly then lurched forwards her and wrapped his hands around her throat, but pushing het to the ground.

"Cross..." was all Zelda could get out, as she couldn't draw breath.

People were trying to get Crosshair off of her, but he pushed them away. She only then noticed how sick he looked. He was so skinny and pale. He had marks around his eyes, like he'd been beaten up and he looked like he wasn't aware of what he was doing. He'd only been gone a week, but something had happened to him during that time.

Wrecker whacked Crosshair on the head with tray, causing him to fall unconscious, not doing too much damage, his body falling away from Zelda. She gasped for air, hands flying to her neck, which hurt like crazy. She noticed the cuff marks on Crosshair's wrists and realised he'd been imprisoned somewhere.

"Get...him...to...Royce...Hemlock..." She gasped out to the guards that had surrounded her.

Zelda's P.O.V.

I can't stand the battle anymore. It has only just dawned on me that this is a war. My journey to the village that the Yiga had taken, some of them worshipping Demise, had been in vain. It ended up in me getting shot.

When I woke up, the island was in chaos. People dropping dead outside like crazy. All because of a woman with a bow and arrow. She had a man next to her, with a sword, occasionally killing people. I ran outside, despite the blinding pain in my side and yelled 'STOP!'

Everyone looked to me, the woman pulling out an arrow and aiming at me. I stood my ground, unfazed by the arrow pointed at my heart. Something told me this woman didn't miss.

"Stop," I say, putting my hands up. "Please. We don't mean you harm."

The woman put away her weapon. "Then why did your forces attack us?"

"I don't know. I'll have a speak to the general. This is unacceptable. Who are you?"

"How did we get here?" The woman asked, ignoring the question.

"I don't know. Where did you come from?" I ask.

"Panem," the man said. "We were from District 12."

District 12? Wait...Panem?! From the 'Planets Around Us' book? It was located on a planet named Earth.

"We were exploring a mysterious illness in District 12 with this sticky pink-red substance," the woman said. "We were in our homes in Victor's Village, but then we are here the next minute!" The woman said.

Wait...Victor's Village?! The place where the victors of the Hunger Games lived? There were only 3 people of District 12 who won. Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark and Haymitch Abernathy. The woman must be Katniss and the man is too young to be Haymitch, so he must be Peeta.

"Katniss and Peeta...that substance is Gloom. We had no idea it was affecting other planets, we thought it was just Hyrule. I'm sorry. I have no idea how you got here, but I do know one thing. Demise is growing too strong. He's affecting the other planets around us and we need to take him down," I say.

"And how do you suggest we do that?" Katniss asks

"We start by helping the 4 the Sages that are in trouble," I say confidently.

"Okay, here's the game plan. The four races are in trouble. The Rito are in an eternal blizzard, the Zora's waters are polluted by sludge, the Goron position is unknown and the Gerudo are trapped in a sandstorm with Gibdo attacks," I say. "We need to split into teams. Four. One to each region."

"We need five, actually," Peeta says.

"Please do tell, Peeta," I say.

"We should explore the Depths. There's gotta be something down there. I mean, it's a whole land pretty much unexplored," Peeta said. "I know the dangers of Gloom. I can lead a team down there."

"Alright. Who will be the team leaders for the rest of the teams?" I ask.

"I've never been to the mountains, so I'll go there," Royce says.

I nod. Katniss says she'll go to the Rito, after a lot of convincing from Peeta. Omega will go to the Desert and Link will go to the Zora. After everyone is split into teams, they leave.

That's when the bombs hit.
