Mason: Mamá, just... help me. Vaggie: I... I can't. Mason: Why can't you? Vaggie: Mijo! You don't understand. Exorcists never listen! They didn't listen to me, they won't listen to you! Mason: You don't know that! Vaggie: I do!
With tears filling her eye, Vaggie begins to express her feelings through a song, More Than Anything.
Vaggie: ♪ You, didn't know that when ♪ ♪ I tried this all before, my mistakes were too hard to defend. ♪ ♪ And in the end, ♪ ♪ I won't lose it all again. Now you're the only thing worth fighting for. ♪
While she is singing, the silhouette of Reaper appears behind her. It then shows Reaper behind Mason, her katana slowly come towards him, with Vaggie noticing them in horror, and pulls Mason away on the other side to defend him.
Vaggie: ♪ More than anything, more than anything. ♪ ♪ I'll shelter and adore you more than anything. ♪
She then pulls Mason into a hug.
Mason: (spoken) Mamá, I don't need you to protect me from this. Vaggie: I just don't want you to be hurt by them like... like I was.
Mason: Mamá... ♪ When I was young, I didn't really know you at all. ♪
In a flashback scene, an 11 year old Mason, holding some Pokémon toys, saw Vaggie on the couch who looked all sad and mopey. She notices him and takes him into her lap to play with the toys with him.

♪ But I heard your stories and I was enthralled. ♪
♪ The tales about your lofty dreams. ♪
♪ I listened breathlessly. ♪

[Flashback ends to the present.]

Maosn then puts a genderfluid pin onto his chest.

Mason and Vaggie: ♪ All that I'm hoping, ♪
♪ now that my eyes are open, is that we can start again. ♪

Mason then spreads his wings as he takes flight, while Vaggie hold onto him.
Mason and Vaggie: ♪ Cause in the end, you are part of who I am. ♪
Vaggie: ♪ I'll support your dream whatever lies in store. ♪
Mason: ♪ And who could ask for more? ♪
Mason then does aerial tricks, like tossing Vaggie into the air and catching her.

Vaggie and Mason fly high into the air as they stare at each other and share a loving embrace, Vaggie tearing up.
Mason and Vaggie: ♪ I'm grateful you're my (Mason: mother) /(Vaggie: child) more than anything. More than anything. ♪
As the song ends, Vaggie and Mason return to the Hotel, although they don't let go just yet. Mason just wraps his wings around him and his adoptive stepmother.
