the group all headed into the party together. it was safe to say that lexley was nervous, not just about being at a social outing, but about the possibility of her running into tara yummy.
chris stoped walking for a second and let the others walk in front of him so he could check up on his best friend.
"lex, you okay?" he asked putting a hand on her shoulder. lexley nodded and went back to thinking.
chris could clearly tell that something was up with her. he pulled his other hand to her shoulder, causing her to stop walking.
lexley looked up at chris with a shocked look on her face.
"lex" chris said in a conserned manner. "what's going on?"
lexley sighed and said, "i'm just nervous" chris looked at her "about..."
she took a deep breath and continued "so i texted tara on instagram and...when she replied i left her on read, i freaked out and now i think she hates me. i want to talk to her and tell her what happened but i don't think that she will want to talk to me"
"lex..." chris hesitated to continue, but did. "she doesn't hate you."
"how do you know that?"
"she texted me soon after you texted her. she was confused and i told her that you probably freaked out and that it wasn't a big deal. i also told her that you were still coming and if you weren't i'd drag you here myself." chris told her, causing her to smile. "there's that smile"
lexley punched him in the arm "shut up" she laughed.
chris pulled her in for a hug, and she accepted. "thank you" she whispered to him. he just nodded and then let go.
"shall we join the party" he asked holding his plan out.
"we shall" she said taking his hand and they walked into the party.

chris and lexley walked in and the music was blaring.
"holy shit, there's a lot of people here" lexley yelled over the music to chris.
"i'm going to go and try to find matt and nick, so i'll see you later?" he yelled,walking away.
"yep!" she said back.
now that chris had left lexley was by herself. jasmine had went off with rowan and karinza was probably with matt and nick.
lexley headed over to where the drinks were. she needed to take the edge off.
"what can i get for you" the bartender asked.
"vodka shot" she replied.
"starting off strong are we?" a voice said from behind.
lexley could recognize that voice anywhere, evan gutierrez.
evan grew up with the claire twins, he was like a brother to them.
lexley spun around, and faced him. "evan! what are you doing here?" she asked, so excited to see him.
"some of my buddies are here and they invited me!" he said coming in for a hug.
"i've missed you" lexley said turning around and taking her shot.
evan laughed as she made a face after as her drink stung her throat. "i've missed you too lex"
"so, who are your 'buddies' that invited you?" lexley asked.
"his name is jake, he's a fellow musician, want to meet him?" he offers.
lexley nods and follows evan as they are taken to the back of the room.
when they approached the table, lexley realized who evan was talking about.
jake webber.
sitting at the table along with jake was sam, colby, larray, and tara.
"hey he's back and he brought a girl!" jake teased. evan laughed and explained how he knew lexley.
"this is my friend lexley, i grew up with her and her twin brother rowan, they are like my brother and sister."
lexley waves and tries not to make eye contact with any of them, especially tara.
"hi i'm sam"
"colby brock, nice to meet you"
"i'm johnnie gilbert"
they all introduced, then it was tara's turn.
lexley looked at tara and made direct eye contact.
"i'm guessing you already know who i am" tara giggles.
lexley nods. "hey i'm sorry about leaving you on read, i just figured that talking to you in person would be easier."
tara laughs, "i completely get it, and no need to apologize."
"oh my god her smile is gorgeous" was all lexley could think.
"oh congratulations on one million subscribers!" she congratulated.
"thank you that means so much!" tara replies.
"tara!" someone yelled from across the room.
"zach!" she replied running to give him a hug.
zach justice.
"oh who's this?" he asks tara.
tara looks down at the ground, "that's...lexley claire"
zach holds his hand out "so your the girl i've heard so much about"
