Everything was going well for them. They were best friends since childhood. On third year of highschool, Gyuvin finally managed to confess his feelings, pour his heart out to Ricky. And the latter? Well, he happily accepted.

They were going strong until they started college.

Gyuvin wasn't academically gifted. College was a different level of pressure for him. No matter how much he tried, he was always stuck with either assignments or projects.

He just couldn't bear it anymore. Studies, friendships, social life and after all that— his boyfriend.

When Ricky was supposed be his place of comfort, Gyuvin took him as a duty. He was mad at himself. He wanted give the elder a perfect relationship, he wanted to spoil and pamper his Ricky. But his schedule was hectic almost everyday. Whenever Ricky asked if they could go on a date or just hangout together, Gyuvin had to decline. He was bound to decline.

Everything started to fall apart when Gyuvin finally decided to ask for a break.

Ricky was very understanding about it. He knew his boyfriend was stressed and burnt out. And thus, they agreed for a break of one week. One whole week of Ricky and Gyuvin not kissing, hugging, facetiming, talking and texting each other.

Even when that one week got extended to two weeks, Ricky didn't break his promise. He gave all the space to Gyuvin as he wanted. Even though his heart was crying for at least a text from his lover, he stopped himself from texting first.

Because Gyuvin promised that he would text Ricky when he would be fully healed.

He did something better though. He knocked straight on Ricky's apartment door after two weeks.

The blond was over the moon to finally see his boyfriend after so long. He wasted no time to pull Gyuvin in a tight hug. The younger smiled a bit and hugged back, running his hands through the faded blond locks.

Ricky quickly guided Gyuvin inside. He made some space on the couch and sat down with Gyuvin just beside him.

His eyes sparkled as he smiled, "I've missed you so much, Gyub."

Ricky cupped Gyuvin's cheeks and pressed his lips onto the other's. They were kissing at first, soft and slow. But when Ricky deepened it ever so slightly, Gyuvin pulled away after a bit of hesitation.

Worry flashed in the blond's eyes but he brushed it off quickly. "Maybe you need a while to loosen up, hmm? How about I make some mango smoothie for you? I bought some yesterday thinking of you—"

"Ricky, no need for that." Gyuvin offered a forced smile which the latter failed to notice. He said a simple 'alright' and sat back down, this time a little more closer to his boyfriend.

"So, how was your days? Are you doing good now?" Ricky started softly.

The younger just stared at his hopeful face for a few seconds, blankly. He sighed, "They were good. Made me realise a lot of things."

"That's good to hear. So...Are we gonna continue again?"

Gyuvin hesitated a bit. He looked and down fiddled with his long fingers.

"Alright, maybe you need a little more time, right? That's fine by me. At least we're talking now." Ricky smiled. He gently took Gyuvin's hand in his own but the latter pulled it away.

"Ricky, I gotta tell you a few things."

The elder nodded. He saw the seriousness in Gyuvin's eyes and immediately sat straight.
