Ash <33
Where are you?
Tell me, what happened?
(Seen)

Ashlyn
Stop leaving me on seen.
Aiden, I am worried about you.

Aiden smiled when Ashlyn said she was worried about him. No one, not even his own biological parents, sent a text like that to him. So he just kept re reading it over and over again, imagining Ashlyn's voice and expression if she were to say that.

He snapped back to reality after he felt the burning sensation to cough and the pinging of the messages becoming more persistent as it vibrates more frequently and somewhat more aggressively.

Aiden.
Reply me now.

Aiden coughed up blood. He tried to stop the blood getting all over his bed sheets, but it got all hands and phone screen instead. He wiped his screen down with a tissue; it left some bloody spots but Aiden was too fixated on the text Ashlyn had sent.

Ash <33
I will come over at your place if you keep leaving me on seen, Aiden.

Thats when Aiden was pondering his decisions. He wanted her to come over but not to see him in this disguising state.

What would she think about him if she saw him like that, covered in mountains of bloody tissues and a face full of blood?

You
I'm sorry, Ash.
I was busy the past few days so I couldn't come to school.

Aiden was coughing blood up. He was coughing more often today than yesterday. Each cough leaving more blood on the tissue than before. His cough was so severe that his own organs are internally screaming in agony.

He had this condition ever since they went to the phantom dimension. His condition just slowly kept worsening; he googled his condition, but no answers came up.

He went to the hospital multiple times but all the doctors he visited, experienced to professional, all said there was nothing wrong with his body.

All he knows is that he doesn't have much time left, his body's coordination has been worsening and he constantly feels sluggish and nauseous.

He hadn't told anyone about this. He didn't want anyone to know. He didn't want to worry them.

After all, who cares if he died?

What an asshole. Did he think I would buy that?

That wouldn't explain why he wasn't acting like how he usually does in the phantom dimension. And that doesn't explain why he left me on read. And that doesn't explain why he has been so silent and trying to remove his presence when he's with us.

What he doesn't get is that:
He is the sun of this monotonous world.

Ashlyn was clenching her phone. The bell rung, suggesting everyone should be in their classes or they would get a detention.
