Jeongyeon rushed out of the dorm, her cheeks red with embarrassed and anger.
"Jeongyeon-ah.....wait!" Jihyo called out running after her best friend.
Jeongyeon turned around frustrated. "I can't believe what just happened!!... I thought you made it clear Ji. Look at me now...I am a laughing stock in front of everyone." Jeongyeon yelled at her best friend.
"Jeongyeon-ah, I have known you since we were in diapers...do you really think I would do anything like this? I swear to god I told that lady to put you in my room but she was all about rules and then I told her to make sure your roommate is comfortable with your condition." Jihyo rambled on about what actually happened.
"It's so embarrassing Jihyo-yah. How will I go back in there?" Jeongyeon admitted feeling dejected.
Jihyo placed a reassuring hand on Jeongyeon's shoulder. " Jagiya, don't let this ruin you. We are in this together. Remember, we promised each other."
Jeongyeon managed a weak smile. "I hope so. I just wish I could erase that moment from everyone's memory."
Jihyo nodded sympathetically. "Give it some time, people will understand. And besides maybe that girl is just surprised like everyone else. I can talk to her if you want." Jihyo suggested.
Taking a deep breath Jeongyeon looked at Jihyo. " It's okay Ji. I should talk to her personally and maybe apologize to her."
Jihyo smiled warmly. " Jeongyeon-ah, that's a good idea. Now let's go inside. Unnie called me saying you didn't call her last night. "
Jihyo chuckled. " Of course you did. You better call her now or she is going to get on the train just to knock on your head."
Jeongyeon winced rubbed her head imagining her sister knocking. "Ahh....it hurts already." Both of them laughed at the joke and walked back inside the dorm.
****************************** The news of Jeongyeon being intersex spread like a wildfire in the campus. On the first day itself Jeongyeon gained popularity, even more than the rich kids which of course created mixed feelings among them.
Jeongyeon hesitated a lot to enter the campus. When she returned earlier to her dorm room, she didn't find her roommate which was a relief to Jeongyeon. She quickly got ready for her first day at campus before calling her sister.
Jihyo had pushed her into coming with her since they both will be in one class. No one approached them in the corridor as Jihyo sent glares at anyone who looked at Jeongyeon for more than two seconds.

As they walked through the corridor one of the students asked her friend. " Who's that?"
"Don't you know her? She is the new hot topic on campus." Her friend replied.
"Oh..is she the one?" Her friend asked curiously.
"Yes.." They gossiped around just like that. Unknown to them Mina, Sana and Momo were standing in the same corridor and listened to the conversation.
Meanwhile, Momo couldn't help but notice the sudden wave of attention her roommate has been receiving.
The classes went on without much trouble, thanks to Jihyo, who was beyond intimidating to most of the students. Jeongyeon held her head low for most of the part. She somehow managed to introduce herself and went back to her seat next to Jihyo.
During lunch time, a repetition of the same from earlier the morning happened. Several students subtly nudged their friends, pointing towards Jeongyeon and exchanging knowing looks.
"She's gorgeous," one whispered.
"Yeah, I heard she's really smart too," another replied, her gaze fixed on Jeongyeon.
As Jeongyeon and Jihyo settled at a table, a group of students approached her with friendly smiles. "Hi there! I'm Dahyun, and these are my friends," one of them introduced herself, extending a hand.

Jeongyeon returned the smile graciously, shaking their hands. "Nice to meet you all. I'm Jeongyeon, and this is Jihyo " she replied warmly and pointed at Jihyo, who was eyeing the students suspiciously.
"This is Chaeyoung and Tzuyu." The girl introduced her friends. Jihyo eyed each one of them. The girl who introduced her looked like so bright and smiley which Jihyo didn't like much. The next one looked like a child, Jihyo wondered how she even got into the university looking like that. Third one is tall, even taller than Jeongyeon but she didn't smile or say anything. "Weird" Jihyo thought.
"Why are you here and being all friendly?" Before anyone could speak Jihyo quickly asked. Her expression is serious.
Dahyun hesitated for a moment before speaking. " Well to be honest,...we have heard about what happened earlier....at the dorm." She spoke as she glanced at Jeongyeon with empathy.
Chaeyoung nodded and spoke. " Yeah, we know what it's like to feel awkward and out of place here," she added, her tone sincerely.
"People often make fun of us here." Tzuyu shrugged casually as if it's nothing.
Jeongyeon looked at them, not knowing what to say.
"Great, now we have a bunch of kids as friends. This couldn't get any worse." Jihyo commented sighing.
"Ji, stop it. Guys thank you for coming to us. Please sit down. Let's eat lunch together." Jeongyeon offered and asked them to sit down. Eagerly they all sat down without any hesitation.
Jihyo shook her head but let her bestfriend do whatever she liked. It turns out the three of them were undergraduate students, and total goofballs. Jeongyeon laughed a lot listening to the three and Jihyo felt relieved that those kids came to sit with them.
By the end of first day Jeongyeon and Jihyo had made three friends and together they enjoyed the rest of the day. They even went back to the dorm together.
