Behind the camera, you found peace. Behind the camera you found art. Behind camera you found stories. Behind the camera you found your soul. You were never meant to be in front of one, you were meant to be the one capturing the moment.

That's the only reason why you packed your bag when the semester end and caught the first flight to Japan. Your dream destination to capture nature, people, memories and tales.

This is your first time solo travelling and felt the nervous jitters and anxiety getting out of the comfort zone. But to see Mt. Fuji you had to get over those fear and just go for it. You did just that.

You take a seat, sitting in front of a picturesque scenery. You grab your phone to take a picture, your camera is already set to take a picture of Mount Fuji at sunset.

As you look through your camera, a man walks into it. You see and the picture is perfect. He is right in the middle of the picture with the snow clasped mountain behind him. You take a few shots.

Your mind is in a battle, should you go and show him the picture offering him to share it or should you keep it to your self? But as you look back at the photo, you knew you had to approach him because if someone had taken a photo like this of you. You would want to keep it and frame it.

Your legs hesitate, when you approach him. His back is faced away from you and that gives you courage to move closer. A tap on the shoulder is all it takes you to grab his attention.

He turns. You are met with dragon like eyes, covered behind glasses, shiny black hair that frames his round face and a mole below his lips. He raises one eye brow in question and you snap back into reality.

"Hi" That's all you could come up with ?? Hi !?

"Hi" His voice is filled with uncertainty of why someone approached him.

You close your eyes, gather a bit of courage you have left and turn your phone towards him, as if you are giving it to him.

"Are you giving me your phone?" His eyes moves from your phone to your eyes and you notice that the black screen.

"Oh, no no no I was just taking picture of Fuji- san and you walked into the frame. And the composition was so perfect that I clicked some and - oh no I just realised that I took your photo, without your permission. I am so sorry. Please don't report me to the police." Your nervous rambles embarrass you more than your nervous silence.

He patiently waits for you to go on. Normally people would laugh at you and tell you to clam down. Does he think I am annoying?

"What I wanted to say was that, I took a picture I think you might like." You hand him the phone when you find the perfect picture and hand it to him.

He looks at the picture, his figure is standing sideways and he is looking up into the sky, eyes closed and just soaking the sun. He is silent for a while as he goes through all the pictures.

You forget to breathe when he looks up and smile at you. Dimples. He has dimples.

"This is exquisite. Thank you" he says smiling down at you.

You relax and give him a bright smile. This is why you wanted to show him the picture. The smile on his face. That's why you take photos, to see people smile. And capture their unique story.

You airdropped him the picture and he makes his gratitude known by saying thank you multiple times. And you came to a conclusion that this person is kind and considerate.

"I am glad you liked the photo. I hope the rest of your trip is also as picturesque as this photo." You gave him a last wave and turn around to walk back to your spot.

"Wait." You turn around and see him walking towards you.

"I didn't catch your name." He rubs the back of his head.

"Y/N. What is your name?" I bring forward my hand for a handshake. He takes it before introducing himself.

"Kim Namjoon. Nice to meet you. Y/N."

"It was a pleasure meeting you as well. I hope you frame the photo." You remove your hands out his grasp and shove them into your pockets.

"I will. Only if you have a cup of coffee with me." He smiles shyly, looking at his shoes.

"A coffee sounds like a good bargain." You laugh softly and start walking to pack your camera.

Your dream of capturing Mt. Fuji came true. You just didn't felt the need to wait until sunset to get the perfect picture. Because you already had a photo of it with the perfect smile and dimples.
