You know you're going to have a bad day when you fall out of bed and hit face first on to the floor.
Oak, Wood floor.
I sat up in my cocoon of blankets and squinted grumpily at my alarm clock for almost giving me a heart attack at six in the morning.
So much for grace.
I shuffled over to my wardrobe and grabbed my clothes for the day but I couldn't figure out why today was so special. An uneasy feeling settled in my stomach.
Then it clicked.
"Oh My God. It's senior year."
Yep. I'm screwed.

"Ah! Rose! I've missed you so much!"
I cringed as my best friend Dana pulled me in for a hug. She was like, as strong as Hulk. I spluttered as she let go of me, trying to catch my breath.
"You saw me yesterday. Shut up."
I couldn't help but laugh at her antics though."Yesterday feels like forever sweetheart. Plus, I have goss' to share which you haven't probably haven't heard of because you Miss Rosaline Cave aren't at all up to date with life. Period."
"Gossip? Already? It's barely 8:30am!"
"Hush hush! So... Do you wanna know what it is?"
"Like I have a choice Dan."
She recoiled at the nickname but the cheeky smile never left her porcelain-like face.
"We have a very hot, new, student here at Kainewood Prep! His name is Jackson Aimes and he is flavour of the frickin' century!"
She squealed and I had to cover my ears over the high-pitched voice."Whoop-de-doo! Can we go to home room now?" I sighed with exasperation as she looked at me like I was an alien species.
"What is wrong with you? Why are you not excited about this amazing prospect?!"
Then she gasped dramatically.
"Oh dear! You're in love aren't you?"
I looked at her, confused."You're in love with me! Oh God! I knew my endless charm and charismatic personality would rob you of your mind and sense."
I burst out laughing at her suggestion.
"Um, no. Sorry babe but I'm not in love with anyone. I'm just not bothered that Allen has joined our school."
"Jackson!"
Dana screamed."Yeah. Him"
I rolled my eyes at her near mental breakdown of my poor memory."What am I going to do with you?"
I shrugged as we headed inside for one hell of a year.

"Students!..."
My head snapped up as our principal, Mr Worth, stepped into our newly-refurbished classroom.
"I would like to introduce your new classmate Jackson Aimes. I expect you to be nice to him..."
I tuned out to the rest of his speech as I tuned in on Jackson.
He was beautiful. He was amazingly handsome with a sharp jawline, pale pink, full lips and light blue eyes that were as clear as a summer day. His sandy brown hair was slightly ruffled and my fingers were itching to run through the strands. He wore a light blue button-up that complimented his tanned skin and stuck to his torso to curve around his eight pack. My breathing was slightly shallow and as I looked around the room, apparently I wasn't the only one.
