"He loves me... He loves me not... He loves me..."

"He loves you not... Come on Dana, you know Dylan O'brien doesn't know you exist."

She huffed. Throwing her daisy on the floor.

"You break my heart I swear!"

"Come on Rose you know Dana has her fantasy world where all the famous boys are in love with her!"

Leslie and I high-fived at her incredulous expression.

"Whatever, when Alex Pettyfer knows that I exist and you don't then I'm not going to be the one crying."

She stuck her tongue out, grabbed her bag and walked away.

"Dana!..."

"Sorry...not sorry!"

All us girls giggled as she walked away, but then I saw Lila with Jackson out of my peripheral vision. I was intrigued watching them actually argue.

Lila's voice drifted across the courtyard to where I was laying on the grass.

"Don't you dare say you're not interested anymore. It's only been four weeks!"

"This relationship... It's just not working. I'm sorry."

He turned away but she grabbed his forearm.

"Don't. Jackson. You can't walk away from this..."

I didn't hear anymore after that but the smile never left my face.

I had managed to drive home and get dressed into some decent looking pyjamas, hot but not showy. Then I shoved my hair into a ponytail and smacked on some mascara.

Then, I got down to the homework. I tried to procrastinate but I was itching to get it done and out of the way. I had two pieces of English and one piece of psychology.

I didn't hear the door creak an hour later and I didn't hear his footsteps as he came up behind me. But, I felt his fingers as they traced my neck to push my hair away. I sucked in a huge breath as my heart started to hit painfully against my ribs. I turned round in my chair to face him as he knelt down to my eye-level.

"Hey."

"Hi."

"You okay cupcake?"

"Yeah... You?"

"Hmm. You look lovely."

I blushed.

"I'm only in pyjamas."

"Well you make pyjamas look good."

He winked and I burst out laughing.

Jackson's hand lifted up to brush a strand of hair away from my cheek as my laughter died down. As if in a rush he grabbed the back of my head and crushed my lips to his. I almost fell backwards but Jackson slid his arm round my waist and swapped our positions so that I was on his lap as he sat in the chair. My hands ran up his powerful arms, to grab his cheeks and hold us together. His arms ran up and down my back as mine looped round his neck. The air was sizzling with passion and not even a knife could cut through it. Our lips slanted and I put all my emotions into this contact because I didn't know how long we'd have a chance to be together and that was what scared me the most.

And as we pulled apart for air, smiling quite goofily at each other, I wondered if first kisses were always this magical...

Two hours later...

"...So the Romantic era wasn't actually about romance?"

I shook my head as Jackson pulled an adorably confused face.
