Three Weeks Later
📍Haiti's New Apartment
Today marked a significant milestone for Haiti as she prepared to move into a newly constructed apartment. The luxurios space was a three bedroom and two bathroom; one bathroom connected to the master room and one designated for guests. After waiting a week long for approval, and another week for the kitchen to be complete, Haiti finally received the keys a few days ago and was eager to settle in. Terrance, who had promised to help with the move, had flown back into town yesterday. They decided on getting started today.
A few weeks earlier, Haiti had turned down a date with Terrance, but their friendship had been growing stronger as they got to know each other. They indulged in playful flirting but Haiti informed him of her most recent situation, and he respected it. He had no intentions on overstepping any boundaries. He decided on waiting until she was ready to pursue something with him.
Haiti carefully lifted the box labeled "kitchen" from the cluttered living room and navigated through the maze of boxes to her newly renovated kitchen. She had decided to start fresh with new furniture, leaving behind most of the belongings from her shared apartment with Amir. Most of the boxes contained her boutique inventory and a portion of her previous wardrobe, being that Amir had purchased most and she wanted no ties with him.
Her furniture was scheduled to be delivered today at 5 o'clock. She planned to unpack as much as possible until her living room and bedroom furniture got here. She anticipated completing half of her home by the end of the night.
"Titi, you got us workin' like some damn slaves— the least you could do is move the boxes deeper into the livin' room so we can just sit them down." Izaiah grumbled as he brought in an Amazon box containing her new center table.
"I'm literally doing my best! Kior and Zuri were supposed to be here helping, but they went to get y'all fat asses some food." Haiti laughed as she took out the dishes her mom had bought for her.
"They need to hurry the fuck up, I'm starvin'— shit." Landon joined in the conversation as he paced into the apartment with a large unlabeled box.
"Shidd, I ain't doin' none else til the food get here." Izzy declared, taking a seat on one of the moving boxes since Haiti's couch hadn't been delivered yet.
"Y'all can take a break— that's not a problem." Haiti said after she finished unpacking the dishes and dropped the box by the door for the boys to take out once they left the apartment.
"We really don't have time to be stoppin', we got shit to handle at three." Zayn carried in a large target box that contained her living room bookshelf.
