Officer James Pov:

Darkness. A suffocating shroud squeezed the air from my lungs, mirroring the terror clawing at my insides. Rough hands, like the ghosts in the gloom, dragged me through twisting corridors, each tugging a fresh agony in my battered body. The cell - a fetid pit reeking of despair - became my new reality, a constant slap of isolation.

The lab was a scene straight from a nightmare. The room was bright white, but the flickering fluorescent lights cast strange shadows that danced across the cold stainless steel. Figures in masks, surgeons in a twisted play, moved with chilling efficiency. The ceaseless hum of machinery pulsed like a malevolent heartbeat was a constant reminder that some unseen hands were pulling the strings.

Another injection, a blessed oblivion. Then back to the darkness, but this time with a spark of rebellion flickering in the void. The guard, a slumped figure in the corner, witnessed the war brewing within me. The doctors, thankfully, were gone.

With the grace of a predator, I moved - silent, deliberate. Every action is fueled by a burning need for escape. Then suddenly, the guard fell without a whimper, like successful prey. His unconscious form was a testament to my newfound resolve. The doctors returning for their next torture met the same fate, collapsing like marionettes with their strings cut.
