The reflections on the waves
How they enter deep into my soul
Then make their way through my flowing ichor
To pierce this heart of coal
And the cloudy, cloudy skies
Painted by a loving hand
Caked with humble sweat and tears
To give out something this grandThese left me shedding tears
At how you wanted to be loved
I'd wished you'd understood
How appreciated you really were indeed
The flowers of the fields
They grew like a blue carpet
But not as blue as I'd felt
When you poisoned yourself by the parapetThat left me with unbearable grief
Oh, how much you'd worked on those
But someday they all will understand
The true timeless beauty of your arts
Hope got lost so brutally
That you just couldn't take it anymore
Yet no one wants to go really
They all want to somehow stay forevermoreBut perhaps I never understood either
How you'd truly suffered for yourself
The pain that you'd been through
Could have after all been felt only by you
If only I could still tell you
Softly and truly, my friend
This land was never meant
For the angel that you'd been until the endNow, in the cloudy, cloudy skies
How I wish I could see you there
Smiling down at me so tenderly
Saying you're happier up there
And the reflections of the waves
A painting so hauntingly lovely
With its colours and its shades
Sweep away my sorrow so gentlyI pray you walk along
The flowers of the fields
That grow in paradise without thorns
In eternal happiness and joy indeed
And in these paintings so colourful
May your soul forever shine through
Oh, this land was never meant
For someone as beautiful as you
