WW2 again bc I'm bored

I was only young when we received news,

I was only ten or so..

For me I was all boo-hoos,

For my parents? The opposite of woe.

They said there would be a war,

One we were sure to win,

How about work?! Life without school seemed a bore,

They didn't care, and all my dreams were in the bin.

We had a strong army,

My parents always repeated,

The opponents would't harm me,

Yet in France, they had retreated.

My father was sent to battle,

All the way in Russia,

And on and on I would prattle,

While mum worried about her lover.

War finally ended,

The allies had won,

Me and mother waited,

But father was gone.

So anyway how are you? Anything happen during the time since I've last been online? There hasn't for me 🥲

Oh well!!!

Have a good morning/afternoon/night where you are and remember to eat actual food and drink water that hasn't been sitting under your bed for the past 5 years

Bye bye!
