Ariana Pierce (Hale)

I woke up to shuffling on the bed. My eye lids fluttered open and I was met with the soft brown eyes I love. Scott smiled when he saw I was awake.

"Morning, sleepy head" he said. I groaned and closed my eyes.

"What am I doing here?" I asked him covering my head with one of his pillows since we were in his room. We must've stayed here after I passed out at the school.

"I brought you here after everything went down. I didn't want you staying alone at your house" he answered me. I started getting up but stopped when I looked over my clothes. I wasn't in my skinny jeans anymore. Instead I had on a pair of boxers with a white T-shirt.

"Scott..." I said slowly. I turned to him with a dangerous glare. His eyes widened, shaking his head back and forth real fast.

"I swear I didn't get you dressed... In my clothes that do look good on you— not the point. Stiles got you dressed" he explained in a rush. I calmed down a little but still a little mad.

"I'm surprised you let him" I commented.

He rolled his eyes, "Trust me, it wasn't easy for him. I don't know why I feel this" he groaned falling back on his bed.

"What do you feel?" I asked. He sighed. I sat 'criss-cross-apple-sauced' while he was laying down, leaning on his elbows for support.

"There's this feeling I get every time I see you. Like— like I'll never see you again. I can't stop myself for falling for you even though I have Kira. It's to much pressure on me" he mumbled. I took his hand in my hand.

"Too much pressure on you? Scott, what you're basically doing, is leading me on. Not just me, to Kira too. Even though I hate that psychotic bitch, she doesn't deserve, much like me, what you're putting us through, "I raised my hand to silence him when he went to say something, "There's something I haven't been telling you. Stiles knows because— well because he's my best friend. You might get mad at me but I'm new to this. Hell, I'm fucking scared of this" I said.

Scott took my hands in his. I looked up at him seeing him smile at me. I was confused by this. "Tell me. I promise I'll try not to get mad. I'm here for you though" he told me. I smiled gratefully.

"There's this... thing called soul mates. Where two people are destined to be together. Some people believe the moon goddess pairs these two particular people together for a reason. Other people think that it's just a beautiful gift they have" I started.

"You mean like, a guy and a girl are meant to be together no matter what?" Scott asked.

"Not exactly. It can be a guy and a guy if you were wondering. The pair are meant to be together but one could reject the other or else terrible things happen" I said.

"What's this have to do with anything?" He asked.

I took in a deep breath, "I have a mate. I've known him since the first day of school. We've had horrid things happen between us. He's a good guy. Trust me on that. I like everything about him... The way he acts, his eyes, his voice, the way he treats people, his body..." I trailed off staring at Scott who was fuming. I rubbed my thumb over his chin.

"His crooked jaw..." I whispered. Scott looked at me funny. He shook his head a few times.

"Crooked jaw? Who has..." He stopped when realization hit him. His eyes widened shaking his head quickly. I smiled weakly.

"Yes, Scott. You are my mate" I said. He gripped his hair with one hand. He was in shock, I could tell. I let go of his other hand. I was about to get up but Scott gripped my arm.
