"Ah, Nijima."

Makoto turned around to see Akechi. "Akechi-kun. What is it?" "I just wanted to check up on you. How have you been?" "I've been good, all things considered. I saw the program. Do you really believe in the Phantom Thieves?" "Yes. I indeed do. Justice takes on many forms. They are one type of it. Then there's people like you. You're brilliant and will reform society one day. You and Sae-san are very courageous." "R-really?" She blushed a bit and tucked some hair behind her ear. "Yes. Keep up the good work. Oh, and please make sure Kurusu-kun isn't being targeted by people. He's not really much of a fighter if it's for himself. He sacrifices himself too much." "Oh? The transfer student? How do you know him?" "I met him when he first arrived in Tokyo. He needed to find his way to his temporary home."

"What is he to you?" "Kurusu-kun? Well, he's... my only friend. Other than Sae-san, of course. I wouldn't trust anyone with my life, but him." Akechi looked at Makoto seriously. "I see..." "I must be going. Until next time, Nijima." He walked away from her.

(Evening)

(Early morning)

Akechi went over to Akira. "Fancy seeing you here."

Akira looked at him, putting his phone away. "Oh, right. I guess Shujin was in this direction, too... still, I wouldn't have expected to run into you at this time. Perhaps it really is fate... how are you doing?" "I'm sleepy..." Akechi let out a small surprised snort. "Did you stay too up late? Are you alright?" "I'm fine..." Akira yawned a bit. "You need to get more sleep then. I'm actually wide awake. I used to be tired every day." "Hm? Why?" "Oh, uh... cases. They take a lot of my time, after all. Until next time, Kurusu-kun."

[June 17]

(Early morning)

Akechi walked up to Akira.

"So we meet again. But my, what murky weather we're having... speaking of murky... there haven't been any new developments in the phantom thief incidents. I doubt Madarame's case will be the last. What kind of target will they choose next? What do you think?" "I have no idea." Akechi looked down a bit. "To be blunt, I believe another big bad criminal. Something worse or the same level as Kamoshida and Madarame. Oh, sorry. I'm getting lost in my own head... I have to stay on top of any Phantom Thieves activity due to what I said on air. The police aren't happy with me, but I truly do believe in the Phantom Thieves." Akira smiled a bit and nodded. "I do, too."

(After school)

Akechi got to Shibuya and entered Mementos.

Crow ran through, only the floors he had access to. He stuck with Loki for the fighting. He would leave Robin Hood to being a Phantom Thief.

(Evening)

Akechi entered Jazz Jin and paid. He sat at his table, closing his eyes.

[June 19]

(Daytime)

Akechi hid as he watched the Phantom Thieves. He knew they would enter Kaneshiro's Palace. He stayed away, though, to not get sucked in.
