I was in my room, spritzing on some new YSL perfume when I received a message. Checking my phone, I saw that Alex had DM'd me on Instagram.

Me: Yeah, why yuh ask?

Alex: Did wah pull up ah we ride together.

Alex: Yuh have a problem wid dat?

Me: Ohhhh, no mi nuh have a problem but Ashley did ago drop mi off.

As I dialed Ashley's number, the phone started to ring. She didn't answer on the first ring, so I called again. When she finally picked up, she said,

"Mi just did a tell yuh say eh bwoii Alex just text mi randomly a talk bout him deh outside a mi yaad bout him wah we ride together go skl, mi ask eh ghee wah cause dis tpc" I said.

"Him nuh know either? Mi cool wid dat bubz no worry, glad yuh mek mi know before mi pull up caz yuh would a have eh pay mi back fimi gas. We will meet up a skl stillz" Ashley said.

With that, I hung up the phone and headed downstairs. In the kitchen, I found a plate of food with a note from Dad saying, 'Zara's food, prepared by Dad.' A wide smile spread across my face.

I quickly ate the food, completely forgetting about Alex waiting outside. After rinsing the plate and putting it away, I rushed out the door. Alex's car was parked in the driveway.

I opened the car door and got in.

"Morning" I said.

"Wahm" He asked, making eye contact with me.
