Chapter Six
I was positive my terror could be smelled through the scent blocker. Without witnesses, this will be so much worse. The door was ripped open, and the two guards began dragging me down the wide staircase, my feet slightly dragging. My stomach was churning. The rancid smell hit my nose and I looked around the dark area with the cells lining the walls. I had never been down here myself. Sure, there had been threats, but they had never actually brought me here. The area resembled a dungeon better than a basement.
There was a guard in front of me who ripped open the first cell door. I look over at the other doors, I sigh in relief. They were all empty. The two guards threw me to the ground, my hands hitting the cold cement. A shudder courses through me when I see the dried vomit and what could only be blood stains. The worst part was, there was a drain right next to it. They could've washed down the thick waste, but knew it would add to the horror when people were thrown in. And it was effective.
"Tie her to the ceiling." One of the alphas ordered. I can't be bothered to figure out which, as gloved hands grab me, pulling me up to my feet facing the wall in the center of the cell, forcing my hands directly up. I didn't get a chance to put it together, before I felt the light burning of silver on my wrists. I had never been in contact with the metal before, at least not pure silver. Mixed with other metals, it wasn't harmful, though in its pure form, it was almost like an allergy. My skin itches at the feeling. Of course they wouldn't use the normal chains right next to it. They had to make this as painful as possible.
"Grab the hose," Another one of them said. Well, that couldn't be good. What felt like an hour, which was probably a few minutes, passed in silence, when footsteps approached. A cold force hit me in the back. It was water, they were hosing me down. My skin was pricking, goosebumps rising everywhere. It was so cold. Wolves could withstand a lot when they were properly fed and taken care of. But a starved, dehydrated, sleep deprived wolf could only endure so much.
The water moved to my side, swiping along my entire body, head to toe. Then to my front. It felt viscous along my exposed flesh. They moved up to my face, not giving me a chance to close my eyes or hold my breath. The second the hose moved back down my body; I coughed violently while shuddering.
"Leave her, we will be back when your scent returns to normal girl." Then I was left alone, soaking wet and hanging from the ceiling in chains.
I nodded off multiple times out of pure exhaustion but would wake up a few minutes later due to the cold from my still damp clothes, exhaustion, or pain on my wrists. When the door creaked open, footsteps bounding down, I was relieved. We could get this over with. I could smell all three of them making their way to the cells.
"Mate." The three of them growled. Despite the pain and the fact that they couldn't see my face, I rolled my eyes. It was so cliche.
"Get her down."
"No. Let her suffer."
"You cannot possibly feel that way."
"She lied to us, deceived us, of course I feel that way."
"Stop. The both of you. Let her down but keep her in the cell. We will come back down with our decision."
"What do you have to decide? '' I croaked, trying my best to sound firm. Giving the circumstances, I thought I was doing a damn good job. "Reject me. Let me go and I will leave the pack without a word."
"No." I think Alpha Colton spoke.
"No?" I weakly scoff. "None of us want this."
"You still owe us money."
'I have it, ' I partially lied. "I planned to pay you in the morning and leave."
"We decide when you paid your debt." A new voice. I was too tired for this. Footsteps faded. My body fell to the ground as the guards released my chains and exited the cell, locking me in yet again. I looked around the space as they retreated, noticing there was no one left. They must be guarding the entrance door, there were no windows and no way to escape anyways. I lay my head down, suddenly feeling incredibly heavy. And before I knew it, the world was dark.
