"So,your first name is Dimitri? Or is it Allen?", Flora asked.

He chucked. "Of course,my first name is Dimitri. My friends just call me My last name.", said Dimitri. "Come inside."

The three went inside the clock shop. There were many clocks. All of them told the exact time it was now with their ticking which could drive a person mad.

Flora took off the sunglasses and scarf Paul gave her. She holded them in her hands now.

"I said have a seat dear.",said Dimitri.

"No you didn't.",said Flora.

"Flora, just do what he says.",Paul whispered.

"But he-"

"Sit!"

Flora sighed and sat down in a wooden chair.

"So, do you have the blueprints?", Dimitri asked.

"Here.",Paul threw the blueprints to him. "Where's my money?"

"Now, Paul you only get your prize once you do what I asked.", Dimitri responded. "I suggest we talk somewhere away from your daughter."

"Apprentice.", Flora corrected.

"Apprentice.Yes.Apprentice.", said Dimitri.

He walked towards a door that said 'backroom'. Before Paul followed him, he walked towards Flora and kneels to her face level.

"Listen here,",he said in a serious tone. "I don't want you eavesdropping. If I find you eavesdropping,I'll figure out what to do with you to make sure you won't do it again.Do you understand?"

"Y-yes.",Flora answered.

Paul then went to follow Dimitri. Flora just sat there wondering what they were talking about. She could eavesdrop, but she could get in trouble. And it wasn't really ladylike. But when did she worry about being a proper lady?

Despite being warned not to,she put her ear on the door. She didn't hear quite properly, but she heard some words of what they were saying.

Paul was saying the words 'time machine'. On the other hand,Dimitri said the sentence 'You know how to make someone disappear with a machine, don't you?'

Paul's voice grew loud.It was like he was arguing with him. He probably didn't like the idea of trying to make someone disappear with a gadget. Dimitri's voice was still calm no matter how loud Paul's voice was which was impressive to Flora.

Flora's heart was pounding in her ears. Her palms started getting sweaty. Paul at this point, was screaming at him. She could hear Dimitri telling him to calm down. Then all of the sudden there was a loud bang.

Flora started feeling anxious. Did Dimitri just got hit by Paul? Or did Paul get hit by Dimitri?

If we stopped at when Flora heard the bang, you would be wondering what might've caused it.

It would rather be A, Paul didn't like Dimitri talking about the topic they're talking about and struck him across the face.

B, Dimitri was getting a headache about Paul yelling and wanted him to listen to his words so he struck him across the face.

C, someone else who was secretly in the room made the bang.

D, something fell causing the bang.

Or E, other.

However, I will not tell you the answer to that as I wanted it to be a surprise and you would already know a minor detail.

Flora stopped eavesdropping in case of getting in serious trouble and sat back down in the wooden chair.

After a few minutes, the banging subsided. The voices of Paul and Dimitri can no longer be heard from behind the door.

Flora continued to sit on her chair and waited for a response from behind the closed door. She then noticed the door slowly opening. She didn't see Paul at all. Only Dimitri was there.

"Where's Don Paolo?", she asked.

"Oh, he went out of the window.", said Dimitri.

That wasn't the reason for the bang, I assure you.

"Went out of the window?", Flora repeated.

"Yes.", Dimitri replied. "He's probably going to the nearby bar."

"And he thought leaving through a window was the most logical solution?", Flora inquired.

"Yes."

Flora took a little while to understand it. "I-I'll just go find him at the bar."

"Alright then.", he said. "Make sure no one will find out you're a child."
