Stretching the blanket to cover my face as the sunlights fell on my face, I turned on the opposite side trying to find a more comfortable position to sleep.
Thump!!!
Ouch.
I cried as I fell on the ground, rubbing my elbow. I stood up wincing as I had hit my left elbow and knee.
Sleeping on the couch was surely the worst decision I made in a while. It has given me a stronger ache in my neck, arms, back, and legs, in short, everywhere.
Stretching my arms to release some of my pain didn't help much as I got up to stand.
Looking at my surroundings, I panicked seeing the giant room. Slowly, the realisation came to me that I was in fact in Rajveer ji's room.
I turned around and looked around the room and found it empty. The bed was also made neatly just like the last night, giving away the fact that he hadn't come to his room to sleep last night.
My eyes scanned the room, searching for any signs that he had turned up while I was asleep, but everything remained exactly as I had left it before bedtime.
A frown etched across my face as realization hit me, and a sudden wave of hurt and sadness washed over me.
I couldn't help but wonder, 'Did he not come into his room last night?'
The unanswered questions echoed in my mind, 'Why? Why did he not come last night?'
My conscience, ever the merciless critic, mocked me with its biting words, 'Because of you, you idiot. It's painfully clear he didn't want to sleep in the same room with you.'
The weight of that truth settled in, and I found myself sinking deeper into sadness, the unanswered questions becoming heavy burdens on my heart.
Looking at the clock I realised that I had gotten up very late. It was already 6 am. And I rushed to get ready for the day.
My grandmother has already warned me that wealthy families like the Kapoor's wanted their daughter-in-laws to be punctual and disciplined.
She had told me to wake up early and prepare breakfast for them to earn their trust and love.
Quickly I went to the wardrobe and took out my clothes. I decided to wear a light pink suit-salwar with floral embroidery on it.
I hurriedly took a quick bath and got ready. I wrapped a long towel around my head as my hair was still wet.
As i came out of the bathroom while drying my hair with a towel, my eyes fell on a very masculine naked man standing in the middle of the room near the couch.
My eyes roamed on his very muscular back and butterflies jumped in my stomach making me shiver in nervousness and anticipation.
And, “ouch,” I cried in pain as I hit my small toe with the dressing table.
And the man in question snapped his head towards me. And he looked at me with big round eyes and blinked a few times, liking he was making sure I was really there.
My breath hitched as my eyes roamed towards his Adam apple and then towards his chest. His chest glistened with sweat and his muscles flexed under my gaze.
My cheeks heated up, and looked at his face only to find his staring back at me. His eyes dropping again and again to my BOOBS?
Realising that I had caught him red handed, his ears turned red and he cleared his throat and went inside the wardrobe without saying a single word to me.
Feeling hurt and angry with my self i quickly put on some makeup and decided to go down.

As I came downstairs towards the living room, i found a few servants cleaning and mopping the house.
Looking at people i couldn't help but think about my own life 2 days back. Where I was the one cleaning for other people.
People always say that a single decision has the power to change your life completely.
One day she was the one cleaning for other and she is here at a place where she doesn't even need to pick up the mop at all.“Kiara? Why did you get up so early?” I heard Siya Bhabhi behind me and I turned to look at her. She was still in her night suit with her hair tied in a messy bun, she looked like she hadn't bathed yet.
“Uh… i… voh.. i”
Siya Bhabhi chuckled and smiled at me teasingly, “Did Rajveer Bhai disturbed your sleep early in the morning?”
My cheeks hurt hearing her and I don't know how to tell her that he hadn't even talked to me since last night.
“Don't worry, I'll ask him not to wake you up so early,” she said, winking at me. And I'm sure I had gone beetroot red by then.
“No, no he didn't wake me up. I always wake up early,” I tried to tell her.
“Then, you guys are perfect for each other,” I heard a different voice behind me and looked at a girl. She was maybe 22 or 23, she was probably younger than me.
“Hii,” she said to me and forward her right hand to greet me, “I am Riya. Rajveer Bhai's cousin.” And I smiled at her shaking her hand.
And then she hugged Siya Bhabhi and they started talking with each other. Feeling awkward as I don't know what to do, I asked, “where are everyone?”
“Oh… right I completely forgot. Lavanya Maasi asked me to take you to her,” she said, placing a hand on her forehead dramatically.
“You guys go ahead. I come after taking a bath,” Siya Bhabhi said and went to her room again.

Lavanya mam was sitting on the swing in the backyard reading a newspaper.
“Maasi,” Riya called and she put aside the newspaper and looked at her. Tapping the seat beside her she asked me to come sit there.
Bending down to touch her feet, a hiss escaped from my mouth.
“Are you okay beta?” Mam asked me making me sit on the swing beside her and I nodded while my back ache from sleeping on the couch.
“Last night must have been wild,” Riya said in a teasing voice.“No… I just slept wrong,” I said hurriedly, not wanting them to have a wrong idea. And they both chuckled at my reaction.
“Why did you wake up so early, beta? You need to rest after travelling so much yesterday? Lavanya mam said placing her hand under my chin.
“I wasn't feeling like sleeping anymore. That's why I thought to come downstairs and help make breakfast,” I told her.
She smiled hearing me and said, “Kiara beta, you don't need to cook here. We have helpers for that here.”
And I smiled awkwardly at that. How could I forget that they are so rich.. ofcourse they would have other to cook and clean for them.
After thinking for a while she said, “But as per tradition you are supposed to make some sweets today. Can you make them?”
And I nodded, “yeah, i know how to make them. Shall I make halwa or kheer?”
“Kheer… you should definitely make kheer as it's Rajveer Bhai's favourite.” Riya said in between.
Lavanya ma'am nodded, “Riya show her the kitchen,” to me she said, “Kiara beta, feel free to ask us for help.”
