Chapter 38-Pt.2

Five minutes later, Yuna returned from the washroom and came across a strange sight.

Jennie wore a gloomy expression on her face as she finished her cup of tea. And upon noticing the cup was empty, Lisa would immediately lean forward and refill the cup, acting no different than a lackey trying to please her boss. Afterward, Jennie would empty her cup once more. After repeating this three times, Jennie unhappily interrupted Lisa's attempt to please her as she said, "I'm full."

Looking at Jennie, Lisa asked in trepidation, "Do you want to eat some more meat?"

With indifference on her face, Jennie replied, "No, you two go ahead."

Lisa then timidly set down the teapot.

Confused by the situation, Yuna asked, "Big Sis Jenjen, did something happen?"

"It's nothing."

Yuna then looked toward Lisa.

In turn, Lisa sheepishly lowered her head. While doing so, she snuck a glance at the bowl in front of Jennie.

Apart from a stalk of fish mint, the bowl held nothing else. Previously, Jennie had spat out the fish mint as soon as she took a bite out of it, probably because she couldn't stand the taste. Afterward, she completely and utterly refused to eat anything.

Even until the end of the meal, Lisa saw that Jennie's expression remained gloomy and twisted. While Jennie was going to retrieve the car, Lisa used this opportunity to buy a bottle of cultured milk from a nearby convenience store.

"I want to drink it as well."

Slapping her little sister's thieving hand away, Lisa said, "I bought this for Miss Jennie."

While rubbing the back of her hand, Yuna leaned closer to her elder sister and said, "Now that's right. You should work hard to form good relations with Big Sis Jenjen. That way, you'll have a better future in that company of yours."

Lisa was rendered speechless.

After getting into the car, Lisa handed the cultured milk to Jennie and said awkwardly, "It won't feel as disgusting anymore once you drink this."

Turning around, Jennie looked Lisa in the eye for a moment before accepting the cultured milk. "Thank you."

Yuna was a talkative person, so she occupied the passenger seat and chatted with Jennie throughout the entire trip home.

Finding the noise to be too much, Lisa gently reprimanded Yuna, "Miss Jennie is driving. Don't bother her."

Yuna nudged her mouth for a moment before falling silent. However, after a moment, she started feeling suffocated by the silence, so she turned around and asked Lisa, "Are you still looking for a house?"

"Of course. I still haven't found one yet," Lisa replied. Although the lecherous man no longer stalked her, nobody could guarantee that he wouldn't reappear in the future. Not to mention, her rental contract was close to expiring already.

After pondering for a moment, Yuna said, "Finding a house to rent by yourself won't be easy. It's also unsafe for you to stay alone. Why don't you find a two-person apartment that's close to my school? I'll also have an easier time visiting you that way."

Without even pondering on the idea, Lisa said, "It's convenient for you, but what about me? How am I supposed to get to work?"

"Take the subway, duh. There's a subway station right outside my school. You don't get nauseous from riding the subway, either."

"We'll see," Lisa said, ending the conversation. She didn't find it comfortable to discuss such a topic in front of Jennie.

However, to Lisa's surprise, Jennie suddenly asked, "You're moving?"
