[Picture is of Iris, but obviously the older version. Since this is five years in the past.]

I felt something snap inside of me, and I shifted. Trying so desperately I kicked Alex off, and shook the cloth covering my eyes. Snarling, I clamped my jaw over the blonde guys jugular. Warm, crimson and coppery exploded everywhere and I pulled back flesh.

"Iris!" My brother screamed, falling back to the ground and shifting into a wolf himself. His large form seemed no match for mine, and honestly I felt awkward and shaky on my wolf legs.

'How are you a wolf!' Alex screamed at me, opening the mind link.

Lunging, I grabbed another guy's arm and ripped it from his body. Feeling the revenge, and anguish pumping through my veins I went after the last guy. The only one whose scent wasn't on me, taking one step forward I growled. Snapping my teeth at his feet, I watched as he turned and ran.

'Prey' my wolf growled, wanting to take chase after him. But, a large blur came at me with a semi truck power. Launching myself into the air, I landed on my paws with a harsh thud and turned towards my brother.

His canines were exposed, dripping of saliva. His eyes were black as night, and he growled at me. Threatening me to back down, but what snapped inside me brought me to this point. Brought me to early wolfism. Three years younger than any wolf ever.

Launching ourselves at one and other, our muzzled grabbed and snapped at fur and flesh. Trying for something to catch and rip apart, both nothing was holding. Alex couldn't grab anything because of my small form, and I could grab anything because of his muscle.

Diving under him, and grabbed his exposed underbelly. Ripping it open, and feeling the blood ooze out I darted from under him. His howled of agony was horrible, and it shook me to the bone.

Scrambling away, and towards the pack house I skidded to a halt. They would kill me if I returned.. Turning on my heels, I tilted my head back and sent out a heart breaking howl to Ava mostly and ran. My scent was all to foreign, and I knew everyone would be chasing the humans or going towards Alex. My scent wasn't a bother to any wolf, and that was my only advantage.

My paws thumped hard against the still slightly dampened grass. The smells of woods, plants and animals were so vivid with my wolf nose. Keeping my ears flat against my head, I darted across the pack's land.

Feeling the pull of the packs binding, I knew I was coming up the the boundary. After I crossed that line I would be a Rogue. I would against anything and anyone, and it would be only me.

'Iris wait!' I heard someone scream behind me through the pack link., looking over my shoulder I saw Ava. Her little head of red and maroon was bobbing up and down as she ran after me.

Stopping in my tracks, I waited for Ava. Soon enough she was at my side, and she was carrying a load. She had a back pack almost as huge as her on her back, and she still had a good smile on her face.

'Come on, I know you're going to need someone.' Ava smiled, and then looked at me. 'Can you carry me? I can't run as fast as you, close but not as fast.'

Nodding my head, and pushed my large form against her knees. My stomach was at level of her stomach, and I knew even though I was knew to this whole wolf thing, I could handle Ava's weight.

Settling herself on my back, I felt her hands grab my fur and I was off. The wind was warmer than before, and I felt the snap of the pack boundaries.

'That's what it feels like? Finally being free?' Ava asked me, and a melodic laugh filled the link between us. Almost instantly, I could smell mine and Ava's scent change then change again. 'We went from rogues, to a make shift pack... This is amazing. I love being this way.. Don't you?'
