Will
~•~
"Ready?" I mumble to myself. I look down at myself. I was wearing a light blue polo and khaki pants. The blue shirt was the same color of dress Rose said she was going to wear.
I shake my head.
"What are you doing, Will. You met her 2 days ago, you can't care this much."
I could feel the attack coming. I wasn't prepared. I walked over to my bed and curled into a ball in the corner of it. I pulled my knees to my chest and cried into them.
My mind was brutal with the comments it came up with.
'Why would she ever like you? She must think you are some kind of stalker. What would she think of you if she could see you now. You're so weak.'
I couldn't stop. My breaths got shorter and shorter. I continue to cry until I noticed my phone was ringing.
I calm down as much as I can in a short about of time. Then reach toward my phone. It was Rose.
"Hello" I muttered, keeping my voice as even as I could as I spoke.
"Will? What's wrong" Rose asked, concern lacing her voice.
"Nothing," I replied tring to sound more convincing, "It's just that sometimes it gets hard to breath, or think, and sometimes to live. Sometimes I want to just leave, but I can't I can't do that to my mom, I can't leave her. Sometimes I just forget about her though and I try to leave. The bill for trying to leave is really high according to the doctors. My counsler says that it will be okay but will it really? What if nothing ever changes. What if I'm like this forever." I quickly shut my mouth 'what are you doing will she can't know. What will she think of you now?'
Rose was silent for a little, and then she spoke "Will please promise me something." She said her voice light like she was trying not to cry herself.
I was confused but answered her anyway, "What?"
"Don't try to leave again please," she was crying at this point, "don't give up, hold on, please. I promise it will get better, and I never break my promises." She said her voice cutting out every so often to let out a sob.
"Okay" was the only reply I could muster. This girl was just so convincing, even when she was crying.
"Okay" she said and I could tell she was wipeing her eyes, "now are you ready cause I have a photo shoot in 30 minutes. So hurry up." She says with a laugh in her voice.
"Okay" I say as she hangs up the phone and I grab my car keys, jingling them as I rush out the door, kissing my mom on the cheek as I go.
