Thought this little pic of spike is so cute.

P.O.V Ayame

It had already been a few days, and Sister Krone focused more on her tasks.

Now, as Emma, Norman, Ray, and I were doing the laundry, my attention was drawn more to Ray than the conversation around me.

"Emma, let's form teams for catch today," Norman suggested.

"In teams?" Emma questioned.

"If we all try to escape individually as before, our chances of survival are slim. Right, Ayame?" Ray's remark snapped me out of my daydream.

"What?" I responded, realizing I hadn't been paying attention.

As Emma and Norman giggled, I felt a bit embarrassed. "What?" I said, feeling slightly offended.

"Oh, Ayame, you were too busy staring at Ray to listen. You'll have plenty of time for that later. The plan is to play in teams today," Norman explained, and I blushed, noticing everyone's gaze on me.

Norman that shithead !

"Yeah, the little ones can't navigate as well alone, but together we can make it," I chimed in, finally focusing again, though Ray's stare didn't help.

"That's why we'll form groups and escape in teams," Norman clarified.

"A game of catch that mirrors our real escape," Ray added after tearing his gaze away from me.

"I agree, but let's not include Don and Gilda. They might be informants for Mom," I suggested thoughtfully. But still felt bad because both of them are our friends.

"What if they're reporting back to her?" Ray thought.

"True, hadn't considered that," I conceded.

"No problem. We'll expose them as informants and bring them over to our side. Two birds with one stone. I've already set the trap," Norman revealed, surprising me with his strategic foresight. In the end it's still Norman. A true genius.

"Emma!" Ray called.

"Hm?" Emma responded, indicating she was listening.

"I'll outline the possible group compositions now. Pay attention," Ray instructed seriously.

"Right away?" Emma questioned, though with a smile.

"You can handle it, can't you?" Ray challenged.

"Of course," Emma affirmed confidently, and I couldn't help but smile.

Soon, we were divided into groups on the field. I hesitated before joining Ray's group, catching his slight smile.

"You have ten minutes. Let's do our best. Ready, go!" Ray announced, and everyone dashed off. Ray checked the time and then joined the chase.

Later, after the game.

As Emma, Norman, Ray, and I relaxed with some refreshments, Emma expressed her satisfaction with the team strategy.

"What was Phil's score again?" Ray suddenly inquired.

"It hovered around 203. You—" I began, but he cut me off.

"Yes, we need to face reality," he stated bluntly, leaving Emma distraught.

"What about the plan to disable the tracking devices?" Norman interjected.

"And how much longer will it take?" I asked, curious.

"Let's see... Ten days," Norman declared.

"Alright, then we'll escape in ten days. November 8th will be our day of running away from this place," Norman announced slowly.
