CHAPTER 3:WORK

"Ahhhhhh!!!" screamed a little girl from the garden as she fell flat on the floor. All the children gathered round her but she couldn't move.
"Madame rose, Madame rose!"screamed Emily, as Madame rose rushed out of the orphanage.
"What's going on?" Asked Madame rose.
"As we were busy working on the garden we heard a scream from the other side of the garden and we rushed to see what was going on. Then we found Angel lying flat on the floor" said Emma almost in tears.
Madame rose checked her and saw a familiar bite that she has seen before but just got up and carried Angel in her arms and went back to the orphanage.

Later in the day the news of Angel's incident has already become the latest news that has ever happened in the orphanage. Some of the children were sad and wished Angel a quick recovery, while others cried because Angel was a really good friend to have around.
"Poor angel I wish she was here to help pick tomatoes with us"said Emma in a sad tone.
"Don't worry Emma she will get better and will come back and help us"said Emily hugging her friend.
"I hope so" said Emma.

Meanwhile, in the clinic Angel was lying down on the bed still not moving but she was still breathing. Madame rose walked in to check on her.
"Madame this child has been bitten by a poisonous snake. We have to transfer her to a better hospital."said Catherine.
"Am not taking this child anywhere, you should treat her with the medicines we have or just drop her somewhere else"said Madame rose angrily.
"But Madame rose we need to take care of these children we can't just leave the children do die, we can get sued for this if someone finds out".said Catherine.
"I said do what you can do or you should just leave!"screamed Madame rose as she left the clinic without looking at Catherine.
"These days people don't care whether children are sick or not"said Catherine.

It's lunch time and all the children came to eat but there was a notice on the kitchen door that say's;" sorry kids but there is no food to cook we are going to the market, sorry".
All the kids were angry and also hungry. Some cried and others sat.
"What kind of orphanage is this that now doesn't want to serve kid's food"said John angrily.
"John don't worry am very sure we will get to eat something for dinner"said Emma hopefully.
"Yes John don't get angry we will get food"said Emily.
"Okay, I guess you guys are right"said John.
Suddenly Emma remembered that she had some chocolates that she got from last year's Christmas. She was full of hope that she will find it cause she got them last week.
"You guys I just remembered that I have some chocolates from last week"said Emma happily.
"Are you sure they aren't spoilt?"said Emily.
"Yes am very sure"said Emma as she rushed to her room and searched each corner and all her drawers. She almost lost hope but she found then in her small bag.
"Here they are" said Emma happily.
She shared it with everyone and they ate it happily.

Madame rose called all the children after dinner for a small meeting. As the children sat Madame rose stood in front of them and said:"Some people are coming to adopt some of you, so tomorrow all of you should dress properly and greet them politely".
All the children were happy and excited hoping that one of them will get their dreams to come true.
After the meeting, all the children went back to their rooms and were full of smiles and was excited for tomorrow to come.
