Feel Better
I was tired of sitting at this boring old desk for 6 hours straight. Two more and I'd be done for today. Even with the lunch break, I still feel like I'm being held in prison. After graduating college, I finally got my dream job; kind of. Being an intern at my favorite company was the best place to start though. The only problem is that my boss is the biggest asshole in LA. Avoiding him most of the time would seem to be the best option, but obviously that's impossible since he's my boss. Once I finished filing most of my papers I walked down to the kitchen and poured myself a cup of coffee with a little bit of cream and sugar. While walking back to my desk, I looked into my boss' office quickly to see if he was there. Luckily he wasn't. He must have left early today. I internally screamed of joy and had a big smile on my face while walking back to my desk. That was until I ran into someone. My coffee spilled all over the floor, luckily not landing on the person. Afraid to look up and see who it was, I closed my eyes and sighed.
"I-I'm so sorry." I say quietly.
"It's not okay." The manly voice said, and then I noticed who it was. Of course it was my boss. "Clean this up immediately, or you will no longer be working for me. You're lucky."
After he walked away, I brought my cup to the kitchen and traded it for some paper towels to clean the coffee from the floor. It took a lot of them to pick it all up. After that was done, I walked back to my desk and sat down. I could have sworn he was gone, but of course I was wrong. There was still a huge stack of papers on my desk waiting to be filed, so I got to work. As I was almost done, I checked my phone to see the time. Only one more hour left; I can do this. Once my phone locked, it lit back up.
B : how's your day going? (:
R: pretty bad so far.
B: sorry to hear that. Can't wait for you to get home
R: me neither. I'll be there in about an hour and a half
I shut my phone off and continued filing the papers because one, I didn't want to risk getting caught on my phone and getting in trouble again. And two, I wanted to get out of here right when my day was done. I wasn't interested in staying any later than I had to. Once I finished, I had about five minutes left to spare so I checked my phone. No new texts from Blake. I started to pack up my things and walked out of the office and into the hall. It felt so nice to be out. The elevator was surprisingly empty and I took it down to the parking garage below. I got into my car and tried calling Blake to ask about dinner on the way home. He never answered so I just picked up some sushi. It was dark by the time I got home and no lights were on once I got home.
"Blake?" I yell out into the dark house. I slipped my heels off by the front door. Some candles were lit all around the foyer and the kitchen also. He still didn't respond so I set the bag of sushi on the counter.
"Blake?" I call out again. "You there?" I walk up the dark wooden steps and notice a rose at the top of the stairs. I picked it up and smelled it, smiling. I opened the bedroom door, expecting to find him taking a nap or something, but he wasn't there. All I saw was a light pink robe and a piece of paper on the bed, which was probably a note. I tried to read it, but I grabbed my glasses from the dresser since I could hardly see.
Put this on and find me.
I laughed and did just what it said. I noticed that the only light in here was from the candles also. Once I changed, I checked in the guest room, laundry room, downstairs again, and then the bathroom. Blake was sitting on the plush chair in the corner in a robe himself.
"It's about time you found me, Raquel." He laughed, getting up and placing his hands around me, kissing me softly.
"I couldn't see a damn thing. You turned all the lights off and replaced them with candles. You know I'm blind as a bat." I said, pointing at the candles on the counter. "You might start a fire, you know."
"Trust me, I wont." He cleared his throat. "Now. I know you haven't had the best day. But I'm here to make it better."
I laughed. "And how is that?"
"Let's take a bath and talk. Then you'll see."
"Alright. I'm hungry though. I brought us sushi. Can you go get it?" I ask.
"Of course. Get in."
I slipped into the warm bubble bath that smelled like roses and tied my long dark-brown hair into a bun on the top of my head. He got in soon after and handed me my container of sushi with some chopsticks.
"Thanks, babe." I say, opening the box.
"No problem. So what happened today?"
I told him what happened and he laughed, still eating his sushi. Once we both finished we just sat there for a while and talked before getting out. We went into the bedroom and before I changed he stopped me. "Wait, don't change yet." He said pulling me back to the bed. I turn my head and move my eyebrow, wondering why. "Let me give you a massage..."
"Alright." I smile and turn my back to him. He slides the robe down, leaving my back exposed. His big hands worked on my shoulders and then he moved down to my back, and then my lower back. "Right there." I say softly.
"Where?" He asks, jokingly. He kisses my neck. "There?" He nibbles on my ear. "Right there?"
My breathing gets deeper and I feel him give me a hickey. "Right..." I try to say.
"You mean everywhere." He says, kissing my shoulder softly, I turn around and trace his perfectly carved abs with my finger.
"My turn to tease you." I smile. He doesn't say a thing- just smirks and lets me take over.
