* I was wrong lol, this ain't the chapter to brace for impact on LOL.

Once she walked into the house, letting letting out a relief that it was quiet. She went straight to look for Zac, stopping in his office first before looking in their bedroom, and finally the living room/kitchen area. After not finding him in either of those spots, she knew for sure he was back in that basement.

And sure enough he was, soon as she opened the basement door, she could hear the clapping and yelling at the TV screen. Once her feet touched the ground, she walked over to the main basement area which was filled with two sectional couches, and a wide rectangular wood table that was for aesthetic, she found Zac watching TV, along with Dre.

He currently does not own a car, at least from what Fatima has gathered so she never knows if he is there until she physically sees him. "Hi baby." She spoke sitting on the arm rest part of the couch before leaning down to kiss his lips.

"Hey." He replied back giving her a quick smile before his attention went back to the game, he had taken a new liking for the WNBA, loving to watch Angel Reese and a bunch of the other girls make headway in their careers. "Hi Dre." She reluctantly spoke when she felt his eyes peered on her. "Wassup." He replied back smiling and waving back at her. "The kids here?" She asked grabbing a few pieces of lint out of his unmaintained hair.

His eyes remained glued to the screen, "Zachariah had practice and Faith is taking her afterschool nap." He spoke leaning forward and grabbing the beer before taking a swig or two. Her face instantly scrunching up, "I know that's not beer Zachary." She spoke pointing to it. "You know you shouldn't be drinking that nonsense while actively on medication."

"It's just one beer, I promise." He spoke taking another sip before putting it back on the coaster that laid on the wood table. She nodded her head, deciding to let him do him. "How was your day?" She asked changing the subject.

"It was pretty good, just chilled and stuff."

"That's good, my day was ehh-"

"WHY Y'ALL NOT LETTING REESE GET THE BALL? FEED HER BIG TALL ASS!" Zac shouted out, interrupting her as she spoke.

"See this why they losing now." Dre spoke shaking his head as the point guard threw an air ball up. "Everybody know you give it to Reese when she one on one down in the paint." Fatima waited patiently for them to finish up their little moment before speaking again, "When this game over, you wanna do those exercises Brandi texted me?" She asked.

"Mhm." He nodded, only half listening to her. "FREE THROWS!" He shouted once the whistle blew. "Zac...can you give me like three minutes of your time please? We haven't spoken to each other all day"

"But I'm watching her ball out for pre-season. What you wanna talk about that is so serious right now?" She let out a deep irritated sigh. "I was just asking you, once the game is over if you wanted to do those exercises Brandi sent me, but never mind." She spoke getting off the arm rest, she didn't get far as Zac grabbed her arm making her sit back down.

"What's wrong? Why the attitude?" She shrugged her shoulders, not even feeling the need to explain it. "I don't have an attitude, I'm finna go shower and lay down."

"I mean...it looks like you got an attitude to me, how you just get home from work and you got an attitude? That don't even sound right. Especially when I'm just tryna chill and watch that sports with Dre. You tripping baby."

She forced a loud chuckle. "Well since I am tripping...I won't bother you no more." She spoke forcefully snatching her arm away and heading for the steps. "See...you back in your feelings over literally nothing."
