The door closed.

Aratrika realised that everything was pre planned.

Aratrika glanced at Kanish who was now leaning against the wall beside the door with his arms and legs crossed.

He looked really handsome in his red shirt and dark blue jeans.

His muscles could be seen with the way his shirt was hugging his chest.

As her eyes traveled up to look at his eyes she saw a smirk dancing on his lips.

Aratrika hurriedly looked down, embarrassed at getting caught for openly checking him out.

The door closed behind the waiter and a soft click was heard soon after.

"Ab kya humare paas bhi nahi aaogi." His deep voice rang in the room making her look up at him.

(Won't you even come near me now??)

Kanish had his head tilted to his left as he took small steps towards her.

In a few moments he was standing in front of her with only a few inches gap between them.

Aratrika's gaze was still on his chest which was showing his muscles.

She so desperately wanted to wrap his arms around her and feel the familiar protective embrace which hits her different everytime.

She was wishing to see him all day and then he suddenly appears in front of her.

The sudden shock had froze her.

Realizing her turmoil Kanish lifted his arms, one tracing her waist softly and going around it and the other going around her upper back as he pulled her to his chest.

Aratrika hands wrapped around his neck in reflex.

She signed in content nuzzling her head on his like a kitten.

Her antic made kanish chuckle, he noticed how she was swallowed in his arms, she was that small.

He buried his face in her neck and inhaled her fragrance which had already started to feel like home.

He pulled himself away from and cupped her face with his palms as his lips touched her forehead, kissing it. It made Aratrika tighten her fist which was crumpling his shirt from both sides on his waist.

"Happy Birthday Meri Jaan." He wished her huskily. He tilted his head to look her and saw blush forming on her cheeks as a shy smile graced her lips.

It made him smile in return.

He took her hand in his and guided her to the sofa placed in the corner of the room.

They sat beside each other with her hand still in his hold.

"Will you not call all them inside??" She asked referring to his siblings.

"Don't worry about them, they will join us later." He said dismissing her question as he compared their fingers.

But her face was still frowned in worry, "What will they do outside??"

"They are all having fun." He answered and looked into her eyes, "Don't you want to spend some time with me?? After all we are meeting after so long."

His question made her eyes widen and her cheeks red.

She again looked at her lap.

Kanish chuckled.

He abruptly pulled her towards him and made her sit on his thighs sideways.

He knew that she would not answer her until he made her speak.
