In Parmar house
"Mujhe tumhe kuch zaroori baat batani hai." Yash said to his wife, Sushmitha.
(I want to tell you something important.)
Yash's words made her Sushmitha worried. And who wouldn't be?? Yash came come at 12 in the afternoon, which was unusual and stated that he had something important to talk.
"Ji, kya baat hai??" She asked coming to stand beside him as he was sitting on the couch.
(What is it??)
"Batata hoon. Pehle Baaki sab ko aane do." Sushmitha restrained herself from asking further questions and decided to experiment the art of patience.
(I will tell. First let the others come.)
After a long wait of 10 minutes all the members had gathered in the living room of the Parmar Family.
Nithin and Priya, Yash's elder brother and sister-in-law, were seated side by side on the couch. Yash along with his younger brother Rishab were sitting on the opposite couch. Sushmitha and Rishab's wife, Ashwini were standing behind priya.
Nithin's sons Aryan and Rahul along with Yash's son Varun had occupied the middle couch. Their wives were standing with Sushmitha and Ashwini.
"Kya hua Papa?? Aapne aise achanak hum sab ko kyu bula Liya??" Varun questioned his father concerned.
(What happened Papa?? Why did you suddenly call all of us??)
"Haa Yash, sab thik to hai??" Nithin asked.
(Yes Yash, is everything alright??)
Yash gave all of them a reassuring smile, "Ghabraane ki koi baat nahi hai." His words released half of their tension. "Darasal baat ye hai ki...... Aratrika ke liye rishta aaya hai." He completed wary about everyone's reaction.
(There is nothing to be worried.)
(Actually the thing is ...... a proposal has come for Aratrika.)
Everyone looked shocked except Sushmitha and Kajal.
Sushmitha and Kajal shared a look. Kajal had told her MIL about what had happened at the marriage and they were kind of expecting it
"What???!!!"
Aryan, Rahul and Varun shouted simultaneously as they stood up. Each one of their faces carrying an angry frown, not all liking the idea.
They had with very difficulty convinced themselves to letting go their one sister who was recently engaged, and now the thought their other sister being engaged is very difficult to digest.
Nithin gave them eastern glare as he gestured them to sit silently and then he asked Yash to continue.
"Abimaan ji ka phone aaya tha."
(Abimaan ji had called.)
"Kon?? Jaipur wale??" Rishab asked.
(Who?? The one from Jaipur??)
Yash smiled, "Haa vahi. Unhone aaj subah phone kiya tha, keh rahe the ki unhe hamari Aratrika bahut pasand aayi hai aur vo use apne ghar ki badi bahu banana chahte hai."
(Yes them. He called me today morning, he was telling me that he liked our Aratrika a lot and wants to make her their elder Daughter-in-law. )
"Then what are you thinking?? Reject them!!" Rahul said instantly.
"Aap kya kehte hai Bhaisa??" Yash asked his elder brother's opinion ignoring his angry nephew, who huffed childishly for being ignored like a fly.
(What do you say brother??)
