00|Before the Fall
"I will fight for him, I will fight to get back what was mine in the first place. I don't want to be the girl whose pride is intact but whose heart is broken."
"You have never given this much thought, haven't you? This plan of yours is bound to fail."
"That's why I need you there. You will make sure that everything in the plan goes well."
"What's in it for me?"
"Simple. You get the girl you have been pining for eversince, and I get my guy back. Everybody wins."
"Fine. But I am telling you now, a hundred things can go wrong in this half-assed plan of yours. I don't want to be the one to say, I told you so.."
"Then don't."
There were no loopholes in the plan, contrary to what he likes to believe in. After all, I don't do things half-assed. My parents instilled in me to always give my best in everything I do. I always aim for perfection, and this one's no exception.
I just did not factor in one very important aspect of my flawless design: my partner in crime.
Before I realized what was going on, everything was falling to bits, starting with my heart.
I fell in love with him, which was most definitely not part of the plan.
He was my most favorite mistake.
He was my sweetest downfall.
I loved him first.

I just knew this plan of hers is bound to fail, contrary to what she believes in. There were more than enough loopholes in her master plan, that I was very sure of. After all, she is stubborn, strong-willed, aggressive, and impulsive--traits that I hate in a girl--and she's going lose even before the match has started.
But there was something in her that made her so hard to refuse, so after so many arguments and counter-arguments, I just had to give in.
If we do collective efforts, her half-assed plan could really work. She will have her man back, and I will have the girl I loved for so long back with me. What could we possibly lose?
I just did not factor in a very crucial portion in the plan: the mastermind. I hated her guts, I hated her bossy demeanor, I hated her brains, I hated her.
I hated her so much I did not realize I was already falling.
I fell in love with her, which was most definitely not part of the plan.
It was a mistake. We were poles apart, moving in two very different circles that will never meet. She belongs to high society, I was merely a speck in her world. She would standout like a sore thumb in my world, I would get lost, an insignificant being in her world.
Me and her.
She and I.
We just did not belong.
But, despite all that--
She was my sweetest downfall.

Siyanga pala,
Hi!
This is a companion story to my first one, Dear Suplado. This features little Miss Perfect Cassie of TheClique, and her not-so-perfect affairs of the heart. I plan to give all the girls in that barkada their shot at romance, if my schedule and my imagination permits me. This one is a standalone story though, so you aren't compelled to read the first one. (But I really hope you do! Kapagod mag introduce ng characters ng paulit ulit eh!)
Got the title from a Regina Spektor song, Samson. I love this particular line: You are my sweetest downfall. I loved you first. Reminded me of my own favorite mistake.
Always,
FelicityCleoneP.S. napaka bipolar lang nung dating nung author's note. Nagtagalog tapos nagmaganda bigla kaya nag-English. Bear with me nalang. Lashyuu! Paramdam ka naman, vote or comment please?
