Once again, it was a sunny and cloudless Saturday.

A week had passed since the last time Mingyu and Tzuyu had met. During this week, their interaction was pretty good. He quite admired Tzuyu’s temperament. She was mature, reasonable, and shared his way of thoughts. If he and Tzuyu got together, it should be very rare for them to quarrel.

He met Tzuyu in the afternoon to go to watch a movie. An animal-themed movie had recently been trending. According to internet users, they both needed to go watch this movie as well.

When he went to fetch his car from the underground parking lot, Mingyu saw an orange cat lying beside his car. He had frequently seen this orange cat in the parking lot. One time, he did not restrain himself and conveniently fed it some food. From that moment forward, this cat came to depend on him.

The orange cat was very clever. Not only did it grasp when he would go out, it also knew very clearly where his parking spot was. Every day, so long as he went out, he would see it laying beside his car waiting for him.

He took out cat food from his car and mixed it with some bottled water before giving it to the mewling orange cat, which had moved closer to begin eating. Mingyu stood to the side and watched it for a moment. The amount of food he gave it was fixed every time. According to the amount he was feeding it, it was impossible for this cat to grow so fat. He surmised that in this neighborhood, there must be another person feeding it.

Sure enough, this cat was a professional food-drink swindler.

Mingyu near invisibly frowned as he opened his car door and got in.

The movie was at 3:40PM. At 3:20PM, he had already purchased the tickets and was sitting outside the movie theater to wait for Tzuyu. Catching sight of the concession stand selling popcorn, he got up again to buy a large bucket of popcorn.

At 3:30PM, Tzuyu still hadn’t arrived. Mingyu  was about to call her to ask where she was, but Tzuyu called him first. “I apologize. An important meeting came up at the last moment today, so I might not be able to make it.” Tzuyu’s tone was filled with self-blame and a little regret. “I originally thought I would be able to finish in time, but up until now, the meeting still has yet to end. I’m truly sorry.”

Mingyu said, “It’s alright. Work is important. We can go watch a movie next time.”

“I’m truly sorry.” In her heart, Tzuyu felt completely apologetic. “You can choose when, and I’ll treat you to a movie and dinner. Consider this an apology.”

“Don’t take this to heart. We can meet when you have free time.”

“Okay. Then I’ll go first.”

After she hung up, Mingyu stared at the movie ticket in his hands. He decided to not waste it. Previously, he had gone to watch movies by himself often, so he didn’t feel uncomfortable. It was just that this bucket of popcorn was a little difficult to finish alone.

Just as his ticket was cut and he entered, Lisa also arrived at this movie theater. She and Jimin were on a date at the movie theater. Jimin usually would always arrive first whenever they meet up, but when she looked outside the movie theater, she didn’t see Jimin’s figure.

She sent Jimin a message asking where he was. Very quickly, Jimin responded with crying emoticons. 「Sorry, sorry. My boss is making me work overtime. I tried to escape a moment ago, but I didn’t succeed…」
