Y/n POV
I sigh as i sit on one of the metal tables in cades barn. I was just tinkering with my old watch trying to fix it. But it was super small and was getting me super frustrated,
I huff forrowing my brows as i put the watch down and lay my back on the table covering my face as i groan in annoyance. But i jump up as i hear a truck, i see a tow truck bringing a semi truck into the barn. It looked old and rusted, almost abandoned looking. But it seemed like a good truck.
As the tow truck drops the semi truck down and drives away i see cade enter the barn as his daughter Tessa follows him ranting about "how did you afford the truck? Where did you find it?! We cant even pay our bills!" And all that stuff. I jump off the table flicking my H/C hair out my face and rais my brow
"Um cade, whats with the semi truck?"
He looks at me as does Tessa
"Were gonna fix it up and sell it."
"Wha- ok straight to the point i guess"
"Y/N will you please remind my dad that we cannot afford this rusted peace of junk!"
"Hay! We dont use the J word in here."
Cade huffs with a stern glare as he just stares at the truck proudly.
"Um..hate to be the beringer of doom but Tess is right cade. My small job as a waitress and you fixing and selling stuff on the side isnt gonna cut it. We still have to pay for Tessas college soon and we need to pay bills, electric, water, plus more! And don't forget food. Plus the crazy old hag down the road hates us."
