So it goes.
Minji leaves that Friday afternoon slightly disappointed that Hanni wouldn't give her a tour of her gallery, stating she's tired - which Minji knows isn't just a lame excuse as she was quite tired herself. So she lets it go, demanding to see Hanni's work some other time. She's aware that if she actually wants to see Hanni's work, she'll have to stop by some day other than Friday, because it's clear they can't keep their hands off each other.
So on Monday, Minji tries her luck and rides her motorcycle to Hanni's gallery straight after work. But all the lights are off and it's clear that Hanni's not there. As she drives home, she realises that Hanni's gallery is right between her apartment and work, just a different route. And whether that's convenient or a problem, Minji decides not to focus on.
On Wednesday she tries again, this time the lights are on and she sees people eyeing the paintings by the window. She stops her motorcycle right in front of the gallery and takes off her helmet, still peeking through the window as she builds the courage to go inside.
As she takes a deep breath, she catches the sight of Hanni. Beautiful, radiant Hanni, wearing simple light-blue jeans and a white T-shirt. Minji watches Hanni approach an elderly couple looking at a painting and proceed to talk excitedly about it.
Minji is in awe.
She decides that the people in would be enough of a reminder that they were supposed to act as strangers. Today Minji is simply a woman who loves art that happened to pass Hanni's gallery.
Another deep breath and Minji gets off her bike and confidently marches inside the gallery.
Quickly looking around, she sees Hanni leaving the couple to approach the two cute girls who look about her age and greet her like they're friends. So Minji decides against approaching Hanni.
Instead she focuses on the art, which she had came to see in the first place. (Except that she would've liked to hear Hanni's soft voice explain each piece.)
Soon she is completely immersed in the abundance of colour in one piece and the elegant shadowing of another. Hanni's talent is evident and suddenly Minji appreciates her fingers so much more.
After a while of admiring - Minji had lost track of time - she somehow feels Hanni's presence before she could even say anything.
Minji turns to her, eyes wide and filled with awe and she doesn't mind the sexy, proud grin Hanni gives her.
"See anything you like?" Hanni asks in a voice that sends shivers down Minji's spine and makes her wish that it was just the two of them alone in that room so she could show Hanni just how much she liked what she was seeing.
But she simply nods and looks back at the black and white painting of a forest scene surrounded by the night sky. "This is incredible, Hanni."
Hanni blushes but Minji, being too focused on the painting, doesn't catch it. "Thank you."
A moment of silence falls between them and Hanni subtly looks around to make sure no one is within earshot. She lowers her voice when she asks, "What are you doing here?"
Minji turns to her again, head tilted to the side in that way she does. "I said I wanted to see your art, Hanni."
"Yeah, I know, but I didn't think you'd actually stop by so soon. I thought I would show you on Friday?"
Minji scoffs, "We both know it would probably end like last Friday."
Hanni laughs, short and sweet, and Minji notice her eyes flash at the reminder of last Friday. But she also notices her looking around a little nervous and Minji thinks she maybe shouldn't have infiltrated Hanni's territory like this
