A few days later on patrol Tim and Lucy are riding together
Lucy:im so nervous to take the detective exam again
Tim:don't be you will be fine
Lucy:what if i spiral again
Tim:ill be there
Lucy:im gonna forget everything
Tim:you won't
Lucy:im gonna fail i know it
Tim:alright enough your on a talking timeout
Lucy:what
Tim:no more talking since you can't be positive

They patrol for a few more hours quietly Tims sticking to his no talking rule when they go to
Lunch they get to the table with everyone

Lucy:seriously
Tim raises his eyebrows at her and she goes quiet
Angela:care to explain
Tim:she won't stop talking down on herself about the exam so i put her on a talking timeout
Nyla:shes not 5
Tim:no but she also not going to be talking down on herself either

They sit together all through lunch Lucy silent as Tim instructed she knew better then to go against him when he had some lesson to teach they get back in the shop

Lucy:your dad quite literally put me in timeout
