Riley's POV
It had been 23 days since Emma lost it, 20 since the last trace of actual brain activity. It seems kind of cruel to keep her here honestly. Everything was telling us it was her time to go, but her mom wouldn't pull cord until we both agreed it was time.
I spent every waking moment I could by her side, willing her to live. Part of me knew she would never wake up, but I couldn't give up on her, not now, not ever. If anyone was stronger enough to beat this, Emma could.
Sometimes I think my mind would play tricks on me. I would be sitting by her as the nurses would be checking her blood pressure and things of the sort, and I swear I would feel her hand move in mine.
"I know you're in there Emma, don't give up."
(A/N sorry it's a SUPER short chapter)
