Chapter One: The Pan-Solar System Mecha Competition

Ding, Ding, Ding...

"Ladies and gentlemen of the Solar System Alliance, the S10 Pan-Solar System Mecha Competition has concluded successfully. Let us congratulate the warriors of the NUP Lunar Federation, who have triumphed with a staggering lead of twenty-five thousand points to claim the team championship. The runner-up honors go to the valiant fighters of the ROM Martian Federation, followed by the USE Earth Federation in third place, and TAS, the joint autonomous states of Titan and the Star Cities, in fourth. We thank them for their splendid contributions to this thrilling competition."

This event, the most anticipated in the human world, has reached its climax after more than a month of fierce battles. NUP has defended its dominant status and further widened the gap. As of S10, NUP holds six championships, USE has two, and ROM also has two. Previously, the big three federations took turns at supremacy, but recently, NUP has shown a monopolizing trend.

The final night of the Solar System Mecha Competition, also known as the Supernova Night, became iconic with S10. The organizers invited the most popular superstar, Arths, who performed five songs, making this edition a classic in the annals of the competition.

Although Arths isn't well-versed in mecha, the organizers went to great lengths to ensure the grandeur of the event matched the star power of its most popular idol. His presence alone turned the competition into a spectacular festival, where beauty and heroism combined perfectly.

The month-and-a-half-long competition drew an audience of over twenty billion from across the solar system. Both the high level of competition displayed and the classic tracks performed by Arths contributed to its unprecedented success.

However, the anticipated fierce rivalry between Earth and the Moon turned into a one-sided affair with the Moon taking the lead, not only claiming the championship but also significantly pulling ahead. Surprisingly, ROM managed to surpass USE, which stunned many as the Martians finally found their niche in beast-mode mecha, and their warriors' bravery, especially their willingness to gamble at critical moments, was fully displayed.

Despite external praise, the Martians themselves were far from satisfied; their sole aim is to be number one in humanity.

Meanwhile, at Olympus Mons on Mars, the highest peak in the Solar System, a new round of intensive training had begun.

In a way, the Mecha Competition is also a measure of overall national strength. NUP has already taken a comprehensive lead in economy and technology, and becoming the de facto leader of the Solar System Alliance is only a matter of time. Mars, having made significant strides over the past decades, even TAS showcased its unique style in this competition. The "Giant Warrior" series mecha, though seemingly cumbersome, packs a powerful punch. As for USE, once a dominant force in the Solar System with ambitions for the championship, they were now lackluster.
