A week later, Remedy was walking into a new and improved version of "777" now known as "Xotic".
The very next day after the tragic death of Michelle, Salem began the process of improving the night club.
Basically wanting to remove any and every thing that reminded him of his ex wife.
From the name of the club down to the liquor supply, everything was changed.
He'd even hired new bartenders, dancers, bottle girls and security.
The police were still on to him about the sudden death of his former wife and were barely giving him any room to breathe. But, Salem was always two steps ahead of them and finding new ways to make their task harder to accomplish.
Remedy was suddenly pulled out of her thoughts at the feeling of someone's hand on her shoulder. Turning around to face the person, Remedy's facial expression switched from bored to aversion towards the face her eyes were met with.
Nobody other than Lauren.
Lauren was not only the mother of Paris' daughter but, she was also the mother of Salem's eight year old son.
Not to mention, she also held the title of an exotic dancer at Salem's nightclub.
"I've been waiting on the night that we'd have the same shift." Lauren finally spoke.
"And why is that?" Remedy questioned remaining calm.
"Well you would think after that pleasant video I sent you-"
Before another word could spill from the women's mouth, Remedy had turned the opposite direction heading towards the dressing rooms set in place for the dancers.
The visuals sent to her device ran through her mind as she looked at her reflection in the mirror in front of her.
Even though she'd technically moved on from Paris, it still pained her that another woman had the power to make her once soon to be husband cheat on her.
Not once but twice.
In that moment she realized that this was what Michelle must have felt before she passed away.
But she instantly pushed that thought to the back of her mind, not wanting to hold herself responsible for another woman's pain like Lauren was responsible for her's.
