Chapter 24. Kidnapped

Jeremy's POV

It has been four fucking hours and there's still no trace of Eliza, she's still missing, still kidnapped, and I can't fucking do anything Dylan is a crying mess she's blaming herself for everything, it feels unsettling, I feel like shit, I failed her again,

I was never able to save her from that bastard in childhood like a coward I ran away leaving her behind,

But now when she came to me saving herself, she came to me thinking that I might protect her but I again betrayed her by not being able to save her.

She did the right thing by not falling in love with me, because a fucking coward like me can never be her saviour, I can't do anything for her other than crying or pulling hairs in distress,

I feel helpless!

Just as she was when those son of bitches were abducting her, watching the video was so tough for me, I couldn't see it whole, I just wish to be there for her, I wish if I could protect her,

If I would've been with her this would've never happened.

But I couldn't as I'm just a two fucking faced snake who's living a two life, hiding me true identity from my innocent friend, who thinks I'm as good as her only if she knows what I really do,

Boss's arrival halt my thoughts, he sits sighing "found something?" I asked hurriedly desperate to know her whereabouts,

"Nothing" he said in low and sad voice, he's also very stressed for her " let's watch the cctv again maybe you can try recognise them" saying he starts the video again, I get beside him leaning towards the screen trying to get the clearer picture of the guy,

It's heart wrenching to see her helpless and wiggling to get out of his grip, boss paused the video and zoomed but the face still not clear, face of the one in car is obstructed by the it, and the other is wearing mask.

I even tried to find some more details but nothing, it's dark and we can't see anything properly, I really want to break it.

"Nothing is clear" he sighs,

"Shit I can't find anything I can't see their fucking faces I've no damn idea who they're" I pull at my hairs in stress "Boss do something try to.... find her ask your men to find her please" he looked at me with pity,

"Calm down my boy they all are looking for her, I'm also worried for her, the man above knows that I've always seen a daughter in her I care about her just like you we'll find her calm down" he said patting my shoulder,

I know he does but we can't find her!

"Maybe it's all because of me, I always told her not to work her this place is dangerous not good for her but she didn't listen to me, probably our enemies did this" this can be a reason although they can be anyone, I feel like trash for not being present there,

"Maybe or maybe not" I look at him not getting him "You know what happened that night, so does everyone in our world knows it, everyone's talking that the infamous mafia king Thorn killed a man for a girl" my eyes stares at him "We don't have that many adversities but he does, there're many people who wants to kill him, who wants to get to him, and him saving a girl means the girl is no longer an normal girl she's his girl, and they'll do anything to get to her to get to him"

Now it makes sense it's true, he's right it's all because of him we don't have those many enemies but he have, there're many people who are after him and they can do anything to find his weakness "it's all his fault!" I punched on table in frustration,

"He's not only one to blame he's the only one who can save her" is he serious "he's the only one who can find her he owns this city we need his help if you want to find her" he's right he can find her he practically owns the city it's like looking for a lost thing in your own mansion,
