The sleeping princess arrived at the other castle. The servants all gasped at the sight of her. They were afraid.  Andrew did not know what he would do if the same fate shall befall Katharine.

Many of them tried to wake her, but nothing seemed to work.  Katharine held a boiled cabbage up to her mouth. Still, the princess remained in her sleep.

Other antics to attempt to wake her included tickling her feet, playing musical instruments, singing, dancing, and more. Nothing seemed to work.  Aurore was trapped in her sleep unaware of what happened. She did not recall much.

Marigold was arrested at once on charges of treason because she had attempted to kill Aurorer the only rightful heir to the throne in the kingdom that was across from the one that the sleeping princess was resting in this day.

"She sleeps and sleeps, how utterly nerve-wracking," Linda whined.

"Yes, she seems stuck that way, " Alice added.

The others agreed the whole thing to be rather odd. Andrew poured a bucket of water on her, but she still slept.  Robert had heard a lady- a sleeping one was here. He had no idea why the others allowed such nonsense. He hated that no one had thought to kiss her.

Robert had someone help guide him to the room where the sleeping princess lay on the bed completely still. It was almost as if she were dead she was more like in a sleeping death. She was not quite dead but she was not conscious either. He shooed everyone who came by out.  "Leave it to me," He said.  The others did as he commanded, and left him alone with the strange girl.  "She is all yours,"  Andrew who stood outside the doorway told him. He walked away.

The blind prince knelt. He made sure to be gentle so as not to cause her further damage. He could feel a small wound in her side. He pressed his thumb against it and the wound was sealed up the rest of the way.  He smiled despite the crazy situation.

"I hear you are a princess, Miss Aurore. I must say you must be a fine lady." Roger began. He lifted her chin and slowly kissed her. He got the corner of her lips first. Then, as some warmth returned to her, He kissed her again this time claiming her lips.

The princess woke and looked at him. She did not say a word. She smiled. She felt sorry for him because she saw he was blind. The poor prince to be so kind, yet without sight. It must be hard for him. She heard him gasp as if he sensed she was awake. She kissed him. Roger returned her kiss.  Neither noticed the others peeking in on them or heard them say how cute Aurore and Roger looked together.

Aurore pulled back. "Prince, may I know your name, kind sir?" She asked. "yes, Princess Aurore, I am Prince Roger." He said. "May I know why you are blind?" She inquired hoping not to offend him. "I am not sure no one is Princess Aurore," He answered.

She held his hand and walked with him to the dining room. The others smiled. They approved of the young couple although they had not said as much. Aurore fixed some tea and the two enjoyed it.

"I must be going, " She said.

Roger frowned. He reached up and felt her face. He did not understand. why must she go?

"Wait, you must take this with you," Roger said. He held out a sack full of jewels. He smiled as she accepted it. He knew she had because he felt her hand brush up against his as she took it.

Aurore gave the prince a small chain in exchange for the jewels. She took her leave and Roger sighed. He stood there feeling as if she had taken his heart with her.  That was silly because how could she when they only met he tried to reason with himself. Yet, he found he loved her.
